Pearce Alleynce
In a game chockful of mistakes, flags, cramps, Pearce Alleynce’s performance was a bright spot. There weren’t too many prospects to evaluate in this one, despite this game being one of the more competitive games featured in the weekend’s slate. Alleynce registered numerous pressures coming from his DT spot. Said pressure led to two sacks from what my notes say. The 6’2, 230-pound lineman showed off a lot of the same quality traits shown in his junior tape. Played center this game, which might be a new position for him instead of guard. He’s the sole reason I attended this game, he made it worthwhile in my opinion. Would need to put on substantial weight if he wants to stay working in the trenches at the next level.
YORK SUBURBAN 14 (0-1) VS EAST PENNSBORO 57 (1-0)
The best player in the night game played like it. Big number 71 played with his hand off the dirt for the majority of the game, aligning at OLB and ILB early and often. When I think of Angelo’s game, I can’t help but fall in love with the aggressive DL reps shown in previous years’ tapes. So much so that I forget that Angelo is a bit agile on his feet, more so than many other 235-pound DL. Seeing him maneuver through traffic without playing off the snap was intriguing to watch. Angelo aligning at ILB spotlights the kid’s pursuit skills. His ability to react and close the gap between himself and the ball carrier was on full display. Angelo was witnessed making plays in the backfield, as well as 15+ yards downfield, shows off the young man’s effort to chase kids down. I was a fan of Josh for some time, even more so now. I’ll speak well of his abilities when speaking to college coaches recruiting East Pennsboro.
Was probably the most massive prospect in the game. Played center in front of Keith Oates Keith Oates 6’0″ | 190 lbs | ATH East Pennsboro | 2024 State PA , displayed plenty of quality reps blocking down the LOS. Played head-up on guards when stationed on the defensive side of the football. Was often too massive to displace. Was good to play off if your Keith Oates Keith Oates 6’0″ | 190 lbs | ATH East Pennsboro | 2024 State PA or Josh Angelo Josh Angelo 6’0″ | 235 lbs | DL East Pennsboro | 2024 State PA at linebacker behind Lumbard, kid picks a hole and clogs early in reps. Highly doubt there are 108 offensive linemen better than this kid.
Probably the biggest stock riser of any prospect I watched this entire weekend. I was skeptical of Keith Oates Keith Oates 6’0″ | 190 lbs | ATH East Pennsboro | 2024 State PA ‘ body and frame. I thought he was short and stocky, not an ideal frame to play QB at a high level if projecting to college-level ball. I was wrong. I wasn’t aware of how instinctual he is at LB. Long story short, I was dead wrong about this kid. I might want to pump my own breaks here, considering Suburban looked rough in Week Zero. Still, I’ve got to give this kid his flowers. Vocal, ton of energy at LB, played with a reckless abandon that had to energize his teammates. He looked to have more tackles than what was displayed on tape, felt like the kid was everywhere. Love how decisive he was with the ball. I think Oates could benefit by throttling down a bit and throwing with some tempo a little more often. Still, Oates distributed the football to his guys while both on the go or in the pocket. A couple of throws he’d like to have back, but an overall plus if you ask me. Based on this game, I’d figure this kid is a top-300 player in his class. I’ll be plugging in his tape each week.
Highlights
Again, I feel like we may have slighted Trey Good Trey Good 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR East Pennsboro | 2024 State PA in the same way we slighted Keith Oates Keith Oates 6’0″ | 190 lbs | ATH East Pennsboro | 2024 State PA . Thankfully, this is why I go to games and watch kids in person. Trey Good Trey Good 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR East Pennsboro | 2024 State PA accounted for pretty much all the yards on the Panther opening drive, taking a screen 25 yards, then tracking a fabulous deep ball thrown by Oates that got them to the one yard line. Kid looks confidnet and great after the catch too. He set up his blocks downfield almost like a back. Add his punting and DB abilities and you’ve got a player you can win with. He keeps this up and he’ll be elevated very high on our ranks.
Breckin Swope Breckin Swope WR State PA
Breckin Swope Breckin Swope WR State PA
Trey Good Trey Good 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR East Pennsboro | 2024 State PA started the game hot, yet as the game progressed, it felt like every time I looked up, Breckin Swope Breckin Swope WR State PA was somehow open underneath or downfield. I’m unsure the amount of catches he ended up reeling in, yet I do remember the kid being a tough guard for the DBs stationed in the York Suburban secondary. He’s unranked, more production from Oates to Swope will have him on our lists in no time.
JJ Gossard JJ Gossard RB PA
JJ Gossard JJ Gossard RB PA
JJ Gossard JJ Gossard RB PA put forth the play of the game in my opinion. The junior back and unranked prospect took a swing from Oates at midfield, made two defenders whiff on tackle attempts, would turn on the jets for the last 25 on what would be a 50-yard touchdown. Gossard would add plenty of chain-moving runs on the night, a tough runner between the tackles, one that has no problem lowering his shoulder to get the tough 2-3 yards needed. I’d imagine he surpassed the century mark in terms of total yardage. Love what I saw overall.
IMHOTEP 87 (1-0) VS LIFE CHRISTIAN 0 (0-1)
Game planning to attack the Imhotep defense is daunting, for many reasons. The front four can wreck your game. The front-seven can wreck your game. The secondary can wreck your game. Mathis, Whittington and company are enough to worry about, but when Kenny Woseley, who I’m very close to making the state’s top DB, is as locked in as he was at DB, coupled with Saimire Locks Saimire Locks 6’2″ | 160 lbs | DB Imhotep Charter | 2025 State PA working opposite Woseley, any offense attempting to pass is going to be in for a long day. LCA insisted on passing time and time again, they paid the price each time. Woseley and Locks took turns picking off the LCA passer, both DBs would tell you they hardly broke a sweat doing so. The Imhotep secondary was as clean as I’ve seen them look.
All this being said, Whittington and Mathis combined for three sacks in the first half.
With the addition of Tyseer Denmark Tyseer Denmark 5’11” | 180 lbs | WR Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA , many unfamiliar with Imhotep football assumed he’d catch 12 balls a game and be the focal point of the offense. That’s not how Tep likes to do things, generally speaking. They’ve got a stable of backs ready to churn up turf behind 6-7 stud linemen, so running the football will likely be the first approach taken by the team. Especially when you have Jabree and Sy’eer Coleman Sy’eer Coleman 6’0″ | 200 lbs | RB Imhotep Charter | 2026 State PA ready to deploy in the backfield. Jabree is the state’s top-ranked back across all classes, with Coleman ranked third in his class behind Sheffey and Mickens.
Both Sy’eer and Jabree tore through the LCA defense with ease, it was special seeing Sy’eer work for the first time. No tape, the young man has had to wait his turn, even though colleges are hardly worried about pulling the trigger on the sophomore. This duo is coming. The two couldn’t do what they did without the Brian Moore Brian Moore 6’3″ | 265 lbs | OL Imhotep Charter | 2026 State PA ‘s and Zafir Stewart Zafir Stewart 6’5″ | 330 lbs | OL Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA ‘s of the world.

Nile Brown Nile Brown 6’0″ | 180 lbs | WR Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA , along with freshmen Kareem Haqq Kareem Haqq 5’10” | 155 lbs | WR Imhotep Charter | 2027 State PA and Ronell Word Ronell Word RB Imhotep Charter | 2027 State PA each put forth some quality reps throughout this game. I was unfamiliar with all three coming into this, so seeing each make plays that help the team win football games is always a plus. Nile Brown Nile Brown 6’0″ | 180 lbs | WR Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA is a senior who could come up big in moments this season. Haqq and Word being freshmen, we might not see them back on the field in some weeks. Was still nice to see them get action.
We finish off the Tep evaluation with the quarterbacks. Mikal Davis looked a notch more confident than usual. having Tyseer Denmark Tyseer Denmark 5’11” | 180 lbs | WR Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA in the huddle this Fall could attribute to that, being up 58-0 by halftime could also lead to a more relaxed and confident QB. Still, Mikal commanded the huddle like he normally does and distributed the ball as the offense intended. For anyone wanting to see prime Mikal Davis, plug in this tape.
Joe McLeish Joe McLeish 6’1″ | 160 lbs | QB Imhotep Charter | 2027 State PA saw the first action of his career. Identified as one of the better quarterback prospects beginning his high school career. Didn’t think I’d see him work so soon. Also didn’t think I’d see him score so soon either. Could have had three scores under his belt had a long run not been called back. The freshman would have to settle for just two scores in his debut. He was accurate and on time on a slant that Haqq took for a touchdown. McLeish also powered behind his IOL to score on a QB keeper close to the goal line. The young man is poised beyond his years, excited to see him blossom and develop each week.
