Playing in his last game Mikal Davis put on a show. He had 3 rushing touchdowns and also threw for a touchdown. He showed that he is a true dual-threat runner by running the ball well from the quarterback position. Davis is a good runner in the designed run but also can scramble for big plays. He also throws the ball well, especially on deep balls. He is good with throwing the ball with touch on the ball when it is needed. Davis in the biggest moment showed he belonged. Davis is committed to the Army to play football.

Hard-pressed to find a more gutsy performance. Leading a program full of national recruits, leading an offense full of talented prospects who demand the ball, senior quarterback Mikal Davis Jr. Mikal Davis Jr. 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Imhotep | 2024 State PA continuously faced an uphill battle in a playoff battle in which Roman Catholic would simply not go away. Watching Jah Jah Boyd continuously deflate the Tep sideline, this young man stayed strong, was spectacular in the fourth quarter, and eventually led Tep on what would be a game-winning TD drive. Battled through tough hits in the pocket, fumbles, some bad throws deflated the huddle. Didn’t matter, Davis answered I don’t question this kid’s toughness moving forward. Straight animal headed to West Point.

Finally, we get to the man behind center. Yes, Imhotep’s bread and butter for years has been the run game. Yet Mikal Davis Jr. Mikal Davis Jr. 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Imhotep | 2024 State PA and his arm could unlock some hidden potential in this system. It’s hard to not hand the ball off to the stable of elite running backs but don’t get it twisted, Davis Jr. is capable of making some wow throws if given the opportunity. Thankfully, there isn’t too much pressure on the young man to do so. Davis’ stock could trend upward, so long as the offseason work and development comes to light this Fall.
