While the classes of 2024 and 2025 are more guarantees for success, given they are actively being recruited from major programs across the country, the 2026 class is still young and have a lot of room for growth in the coming years. However, this series will consist of players who are already making noise as a freshman.
These players aren’t the spotlight of their high school programs just yet, but they are the ones that are Up Next to bring success to their team, and gain exposure from some of the best college football programs in the country. To start with as always, we have the 2026 Quarterbacks that are Up Next.
Paramus Catholic has a young stud within their program. Marco Green Marco Green 6’3″ | 185 lbs | QB Paramus Catholic | 2026 State NJ is New Jersey’s next great quarterback. The first play of Marco’s highlights below says it all. The kids got a rocket for an arm. Mostly a pocket passer, he has incredible deep ball accuracy. You don’t see a lot of freshman that can sling the rock like he can. I’m looking forward to seeing him play more at the JV and Varsity level in 2023. The amazing thing is Marco has made a name for himself already. He has already gained attention and made visits to programs like Michigan and Penn State. I see a lot more college visits in Marco’s future. Be on the lookout for what he does these next few years at Paramus Catholic.
Highlights
Jackson Magley Jackson Magley 6’1″ | 185 lbs | QB Randolph | 2026 State NJ is the second quarterback in our Up Next series. Playing for St. Joseph’s in 2022, Jackson is another quarterback with great size for a freshman. Standing at 6’1″, Jackson is another pocket passer with a little bit of running ability to go with it. He is able to use his size to his advantage when running the ball, and runs hard when he needs to. There isn’t a ton of film yet for Jackson, however, from what he was able to accomplish in 2022, you can tell he is on the right track to success. He has one of the faster releases on this list, able to laser the ball in like he’s throwing a fast ball. Jackson has a very high ceiling, and he will made huge jumps towards it in 2023.
Highlights
Justus Favata showed some skill in freshman highlights from 2022. While Justus is more of a pocket passer as well, he’s able to move fluidly within the pocket, and when needed, he can get out outside of it and make some amazing throws on the run. He is one of the better qbs from NJ in 2026 at throwing the ball on the run and across his body. He seems very comfortable throwing from awkward positions, able to get his whole body involved to get the ball where it needs to be. Lastly, Justus has a great arm for his size. He can throw the ball on a line. With a few more inches gained over these next few years, Justus is a sure success for Ramsey.
Highlights
The 6’0″ quarterback from Holmdel had a great freshman year in 2022. With a last name like cannon, Jack was destined to be a great quarterback. Jack may be the most balanced quarterback on this list. He thrives inside and outside of the pocket, and is extremely comfortable throwing on the run. As a passer, you can see Jack go through his progressions and put the right amount of touch on the ball. He isn’t a true duel threat quite yet, but he is more elusive then most, and can evade would be tacklers in open space. I think Jack is the most under the radar QB on this list, and he will gain much more attention once he takes over his high school’s program.
