I’ve been compiling a list of recruits whom I believe are bona fide FBS/FCS talent. With the transfer portal, many high school recruits are getting overlooked who traditionally would’ve had more options. Don’t worry; I’ll be the voice of reason that screams, “GET THESE KIDS TO YOUR SUMMER CAMP!”

Brandon has one of the best motors I’ve seen on film in the 2024 class. He has a great football IQ that helps him recognize plays quickly. He plays off blocks very well, and he consistently gives tremendous effort. He is physical, with violent hands, and often causes TFLs. His athletic ability is displayed when he plays running back, which helps him at linebacker. He has a great understanding of zone drops and regularly takes away intermediate throws on film in Cover 2 and Cover 3. His agility helps him in pursuit of ball carriers, and he isn’t easy to block. In addition to Toledo, I believe Brandon would also be a good fit at JMU, Marshall, Temple or Liberty.

Cameron currently only holds one FBS offer from Akron. He reminds me a lot of Cruce Brookins Cruce Brookins 6’2″ | 180 lbs | ATH Steel Valley | 2023 State PA from Steel Valley in the 2023 class. He is an aggressive defensive back who can deliver big hits. Cam has a great tempo and low pad level when backpedaling. He has sharp route recognition and is particularly aggressive when playing off the hash in cover 2. He is a versatile athlete who can also play cornerback, as demonstrated in his film. He displays good speed when playing slot WR and during his interception returns. His sharp ball skills allow him to consistently contest passes. He is not afraid to run the alley and cause big collisions. Cam is well-suited to contribute on multiple fronts on special teams. I believe Cam is worthy of more FBS opportunities and most certainly FCS.

Remy demonstrates sharp instincts and a strong understanding of the game. He has the ability to cover a lot of ground pursuing and maintains a consistent high level of energy. He excels at reading his linebacker keys and can quickly transition from run to pass. When blitzing, he applies pressure effectively and consistently. He is skilled at dropping into zone coverage and tackling in open space. He’s athletic enough to effectively tackle running backs on checkdowns out of the backfield. At TE, he displays strength blocking in the box. Bose has great ball skills making challenging catches in traffic on his tape. Remy has the potential to be a significant contributor on the D1 level on special teams as well. Programs such as Ohio, App State, Temple, Liberty and Marshall should also take a look at Bose.

Steven received his first two FBS offers this month from UNLV and Bowling Green. He is a big-body defensive back at 6’3 185 pounds with man coverage skills. He maintains a good pad level pedaling, which enables him to trigger quickly breaking on the ball. He shows good technique and patience defending against double moves. Although Jenkins is agile enough to play cornerback, with his size he’s suited for the safety position. He shows good route recognition and is a reliable tackler in the open field. I believe programs such as Temple, Toledo, Pitt and WVU should join the Jenkins party.

Dorrien demonstrated the ability to effectively blitz from the strong safety position off the edge. He’s an instinctive player capable of making big plays. He runs the alley with bad intentions and is a skilled open-field tackler. He has natural abilities in man coverage and good ball skills. He displayed good hip movement in man coverage during his interception return for a touchdown. He’s competitive in coverage and does a good job of contesting the ball. Dorrien exhibited his speed and playmaking abilities on long catch-and-run plays at wide receiver. I believe Tate is capable of playing safety at the MAC or FCS levels.
