I could make a knee-jerk reaction and simply place Remy Bose Remy Bose 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Gateway | 2024 State PA beneath the likes of Alualu and Zach Ludwig Zach Ludwig 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB South Park | 2024 State PA . That would be easy, considering the ladder prospect’s recent recruitment. Yet I won’t go back on previous grades. I still like Gateway’s standout senior backer as a top-five prospect at his position. His skillset might not scream Power Five, yet this is a steal for any FCS program to land. UMass and Toledo offered Bose back in May of last year, with Akron joining the FBS bunch offering Bose in April of this year. I have a feeling an FCS team will give this kid the keys, make him feel at home, and wind up scooping up a top-five talent in the process.

Remy looked like a D1 recruit in all facets of the game. He moves very well, displaying good hip movement on his LB drops during the drill period. Remy is explosive and extremely gifted in man coverage versus RBs. He played with intelligence, quickness, and body control during 7-on-7s. Bose was very deserving of the MVP award for the day. Bose looked explosive in general, but especially when breaking on the football.

Bose fielded his latest opportunity from Youngstown State, but already has offers from Toledo, UMASS, Akron, Howard, Maine, and Duquesne. Remy is a punishing tackler that wreaks havoc on offenses when he blitzes. So far, YSU is the only scholarship Bose has received this month. The senior LB will help lead a stacked Gateway Gator squad this year.

When I watch Remy, I see a linebacker who looks comfortable tracking the ball laterally in run pursuit. He displays a strong understanding by his play recognition and sound instincts on defense. Remy is a physical player who approaches blitzes with a nasty attitude. He has four Division 1 offers, and he will undoubtedly be a key leader of a stacked defense this upcoming fall.

Remy demonstrates sharp instincts and a strong understanding of the game. He has the ability to cover a lot of ground pursuing and maintains a consistent high level of energy. He excels at reading his linebacker keys and can quickly transition from run to pass. When blitzing, he applies pressure effectively and consistently. He is skilled at dropping into zone coverage and tackling in open space. He’s athletic enough to effectively tackle running backs on checkdowns out of the backfield. At TE, he displays strength blocking in the box. Bose has great ball skills making challenging catches in traffic on his tape. Remy has the potential to be a significant contributor on the D1 level on special teams as well. Programs such as Ohio, App State, Temple, Liberty and Marshall should also take a look at Bose.
