About Elvis
Expert Analysis
Pat Weider | Prep Redzone Scout
Elvis Koutsakis is a dual-threat quarterback who made some of the craziest plays I have seen on film. When he feels pressure he is like a magician in the pocket. He several times made plays outside the pocket where he scrambled away from defenders, and then either looked for teammates downfield to get open or ran for big plays. He is still learning to develop patience in the pocket but he has a strong and accurate arm. Once he understands the importance of reading the defense and getting rid of the ball he will go to the next level and I would not bet against Koutsakis.

Koutsakis might have been the shortest QB at AYF All Stars but he definitely was the most versatile out of all the Quarterbacks being elite in the air and on his feet. Very good at making throws on the run but can still sit in the pocket and throw darts. He’s able to get the ball out very quick from what I watched at practice. I saw a few plays where he made some moves with his legs that stood out to me as well.
- Accurate throws
- Great mechanics
- Pretty deep ball
- Can use his legs well

– Played on 14U Ginn Elite this year and led team to AYF National Championship.
– A scrappy, competitive kid that makes throws on the run look easy. Goes without saying that he’s on point from the pocket, too.
– All this kid does is win football games. Should have a field day with some of the Alpha’s he has in the receiving corps.

The MVP of the 14U D1 championship game, Elvis was certainly in the building for the Ginn Elite 14U team. Ginn Elite is funded by former 14-year NFL standout Tedd Ginn Jr. is based out of Ohio, but Koutsakis Jr. is from Pittsburgh. He was better than I even anticipated and made the game look simple. A little undersized right now, but he was playing pitch and catch with the elite skill guys that surrounded him offensively. Played with confidence and swag–the type of kid I want leading my squad any day of the week. He says there are a few options on the table for him as it pertains to high school–including staying to play for his local public school, Gateway.
