The big, 6’2, two-way Woodland Hills product rounds out the top ten. A top-five ceiling that is going to call Bowling Green University home. The highest-ranking of Steven Jenkins Steven Jenkins 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB Gateway | 2024 State PA career, he will line up on a loaded Woodland Hills defense that has plenty of FBS potential scattered throughout the depth chart. Excited to see if I can attend a Woody game this Fall to see if he’s deserving of an additional post-season bump.

Seeing Steven move around in person confirmed a lot of things that I believed before Sunday. For one, Jenkins is absolutely athletic enough to play the cornerback position. Secondly, his size is substantial, and he’s big enough to play WLB, OLB, or nickel/SS. His agility, footwork, speed, and hips are all of the FBS level. He was physical in press coverage and displayed speed transitioning into fade coverage during one-on-ones. He contests passes well and has the size to shut down bigger wideouts. Jenkins is committed to play at Bowling Green in the MAC.

Jenkins is a physical defensive back who recently transferred from Woodland Hills to Gateway for the upcoming season. He’s one of several prospects at Gateway HS with multiple D1 offers. In the end, Jenkins chose Bowling Green over UNLV and Maine. UNLV coach Brennan Marion has been offering a lot of top talent in Pittsburgh, and it’s only a matter of time before he lands one. Unfortunately, Jenkins won’t be starting the party.

I can’t find much on any other prospects in the nation that have announced their commitment to Bowling Green thus far. Quite possible that Woodland Hills’ Steven Jenkins Steven Jenkins 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB Gateway | 2024 State PA , a top-75 prospect in his class, could be the program’s first verbal commit of the 2024 class. If so, they’ve plucked a good one out of Western Pennsylvania. Bowling Green and other neighboring Ohio universities always do well pulling Western PA interest. The program’s efforts have paid off in the form of a top 10 PA DB.

Jenkins has 2 FBS offers and will now be playing with the Gateway Gators. He’s a big DB measuring in at 6’3 185 pounds. He’s fluid in zone and man coverage consistently contesting the ball. He‘s got good footwork pedaling & transitioning on deeper passes. He’s a physical CB that’s suited to play safety collegiately. His size and speed will be an asset in the special teams department.

Steven received his first two FBS offers this month from UNLV and Bowling Green. He is a big-body defensive back at 6’3 185 pounds with man coverage skills. He maintains a good pad level pedaling, which enables him to trigger quickly breaking on the ball. He shows good technique and patience defending against double moves. Although Jenkins is agile enough to play cornerback, with his size he’s suited for the safety position. He shows good route recognition and is a reliable tackler in the open field. I believe programs such as Temple, Toledo, Pitt and WVU should join the Jenkins party.
