Your boy Hawk is here to inform you of all the recent news on the westside of the state. Now that I got that announcement out of the way let’s get into the recruiting news.
Cameron Lindsey Cameron Lindsey 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Aliquippa | 2024 State PA COMMITS TO THE PITT PANTHERS
Blue-chip recruit Cameron Lindsey Cameron Lindsey 6’2″ | 205 lbs | LB Aliquippa | 2024 State PA committed to the University of Pittsburgh over the weekend. The Aliquippa prospect chose Pitt over Penn State, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Syracuse, UNLV, Toledo, and UConn, to name a few. Pitt’s opener will be on September 2, 2023, against Wofford. Lindsey is a lumber-laying tackler with tremendous experience in big games. Pitt definitely got one of best recruits in the state in Lindsey.
Clinton Robinson Clinton Robinson 6'1" | 195 lbs | ATH Keystone Oaks | 2024 State PA COMMITS TO THE SYRACUSE ORANGEMAN
When I first reported on Clinton Robinson Clinton Robinson 6’1″ | 195 lbs | ATH Keystone Oaks | 2024 State PA in November, he had no offers. However, the tide changed very shortly after that. Robinson chose the Orangemen over West Virginia, Temple, Ohio, Western Michigan, Kent State, Bowling Green, and Howard, respectively. The senior from Keystone Oaks is a ball-hawk on the backend and will fit in well in the ACC.
Ryan Cory Ryan Cory 6'4" | 285 lbs | OL Pine-Richland | 2024 State PA COMMITS TO THE WISCONSIN BADGERS
None of these commits are new to this platform, and this particular offensive lineman is no exception. Cory is one of the best prospects that Pennsylvania has to offer this year. Ryan had no shortage of offers, choosing the Badgers over Stanford, Kentucky, Virginia, Cincinnati, Penn State, Miami, Pitt, Duke, Oregon, Maryland, Kansas, Louisville, and Toledo, to list a few. The blue-chip player from Pine-Richland will be a great fit in the Big Ten conference.
Steven Jenkins Steven Jenkins 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB Gateway | 2024 State PA JR COMMITS TO BOWLING GREEN
Jenkins is a physical defensive back who recently transferred from Woodland Hills to Gateway for the upcoming season. He’s one of several prospects at Gateway HS with multiple D1 offers. In the end, Jenkins chose Bowling Green over UNLV and Maine. UNLV coach Brennan Marion has been offering a lot of top talent in Pittsburgh, and it’s only a matter of time before he lands one. Unfortunately, Jenkins won’t be starting the party.
Mickey Vaccarello Mickey Vaccarello 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Peters Township | 2025 State PA GETS HIS FIRST FBS OFFER
I recently posted about Vaccarello picking up his first D1 opportunity from Duquesne. Now, I’m back to report that Mickey V has received his first FBS offer from Power 5 school, Boston College! Although we are at the halfway point of the summer, there is still plenty of time for Mickey to receive a few more offers.
Highlights
Bradley Gompers Bradley Gompers 6'5" | 205 lbs | LB Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2025 State PA PICKS UP 3 POWER 5 OFFERS THIS MONTH
Gompers is another well-known name on this platform. This big-bodied wideout stands at 6’5 and weighs 200 lbs, with a 4.5-second 40-yard dash time. He recently received two Power Five offers in the last couple of days, one from Pitt and the other from Boston College. Gompers is one of the D1 recruits on Pittsburgh Central Catholic’s team that I mentioned earlier. His total scholarship count is four, including offers from UNLV, West Virginia, Pitt, and Boston College.
Jack Fennell Jack Fennell 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH North Catholic | 2024 State PA GETS HIS FIRST D1 FROM DAVIDSON
I first reported on Fennell in a post titled “Slept On FBS/FCS Prospects,” well, one D1 college has awoken. Jack received his first D1 opportunity from Davidson to kick the month off. Fennell was a 1st team all-conference RB that runs a 4.4-second forty-yard dash time. He’s electric with the ball in his hands and will surely be a sight to see on the field in ’23.

PILING UP THE OFFERS
Bose fielded his latest opportunity from Youngstown State, but already has offers from Toledo, UMASS, Akron, Howard, Maine, and Duquesne. Remy is a punishing tackler that wreaks havoc on offenses when he blitzes. So far, YSU is the only scholarship Bose has received this month. The senior LB will help lead a stacked Gateway Gator squad this year.
27′ PROSPECT Larry Moon III Larry Moon III 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Aliquippa | 2027 State PA COMING IN HOT WITH 2 FBS OFFERS
Larry Moon III Larry Moon III 5’11” | 175 lbs | DB Aliquippa | 2027 State PA picked up his first two offers this week from Power 5 programs, to boot! Pitt kicked it off by offering the ’27 athlete after an impressive camp showing. Moon is 5’11, 170 pounds, and has tremendous coverage skills and overall talent on the gridiron. I have to give it up to the Northeast Regional Scouting Director, Vic Castillo Vic Castillo RB PA ; he was very vocal about Moon’s talents as well. He’s looked like a Power 5 recruit in the 2Tenths 7-on-7 league and obviously on the camp circuit. The future is very bright for Larry Moon III Larry Moon III 5’11” | 175 lbs | DB Aliquippa | 2027 State PA .
