The Stock Up Showcase series hit Broken Arrow on Saturday afternoon and nearly 150 prospects were on hand to get coached, get competition and get exposure. This was the fourth camp we’ve had in Oklahoma and they continue to get bigger and better. Prep Redzone Oklahoma will have articles and breakdowns throughout the next several day putting a spotlight on some of the best performers and prospects that we got a chance to see throughout the afternoon. In this post, it’s all about the best of the best. These seven prospects earned MVP honors for their performance throughout the day. From testing, to individual drills and 1 on 1’s, these guys earned their spot as the best at their position.
QUARTERBACK MVP
The race for quarterback MVP was probably the toughest and most competitive of all the position groups. But Edmond Santa Fe 2025 signal caller Malikai Miller Malikai Miller 5’11” | 170 lbs | QB Moore | 2025 State OK earned MVP honors with a complete performance from start to finish. What’s really impressive about Miller’s performance on Saturday was the fact that he’s a dual-threat quarterback that was only using his arm to make play after play. He ran some solid times during the testing portion of the camp but during individual drills and 1 on 1’s, it was all about his arm and his ability to throw the ball downfield. It was a close race between Miller and some of the other top quarterbacks in attendance but Miller’s performance late in the camp put things over the top and allowed him to walk away with MVP honors for the quarterback position.

RUNNING BACK MVP
One of the earliest standouts on the field Saturday was Southeast junior running back Rodney Fields Rodney Fields 6’0″ | RB Del City | 2024 State OK . The Spartan standout immediately caught our attention during the 40-yard dash when he clocked in at a 4.44 on his second attempt. That time was tied with another positional MVP for the fastest of the camp on Saturday. Fields would then terrorize defenders throughout the 1 on 1 portion of the camp when he would get the ball in the open field and he showcased that speed. Fields had an outstanding junior season for the Spartans and he had a fantastic showing on Saturday. After watching him on film quite a bit in the last few months, it was great to see him performing in person. Fields is definitely turning into a running back within the state’s 2024 class that coaches need to know about moving forward.
WIDE RECEIVER MVP
First off, we made a mistake when we announced the wide receiver MVP. We said that Jenks wide receiver Conner Thompson Conner Thompson 6’0″ | 175 lbs | ATH Jenks | 2024 State OK was a freshman. That was incorrect and we wanted to acknowledge that here. Thompson, who was one of a handful of walk ups to the event, absolutely showed out throughout the day and shined brightest among a group of wide receivers that was incredibly talented and deep. The thing that stood out about Thompson and put it over the edge for him as MVP was his versatility. Thompson got rep after rep and would also go on the defensive side of the ball and do a good job as a cornerback. That versatility and desire for competition is something we are always going to look for at our camps. Thompson is a name to keep an eye on moving forward this offseason.

OFFENSIVE LINE MVP
Another close MVP race came at offensive line position and it came down to a pair of 5A linemen in the 2024 class. Walking away with the award was Collinsville big man Colten Christian Colten Christian 6’5″ | 285 lbs | OL Collinsville | 2024 State OK , who was dominant at multiple spots along the offensive line. Christian is a 2024 prospect that we’ve kept an eye on since October and his stock has only gone up from then. Christian is currently not ranked in the 2024 class but that’s going to change in a little over a week when the 2024 rankings get updated. Christian did such a good job during 1 on 1’s and his performance not only impressed us when we got a chance to watch him in action, it was impressive to the coaches on both sides of the ball. It seems like Christian only continues to get better every time we see him so we’re looking forward to the next time.

DEFENSIVE LINE MVP
The first of a pair of 2025 defensive prospects that earned MVP honors was Colcord defensive lineman Khaleeal Penn Khaleeal Penn 6’2″ | 305 lbs | DL Colcord | 2025 State OK . The small school standout was the best defensive lineman in attendance and he dominated from the interior on Saturday. He is definitely a defensive tackle that we’re going to watch more of. This is a perfect example of why we do these camps. There are plenty of prospects that we know about coming in but every time we run these events, we find a name or two that not only are we seeing for the first time, but they end up being some of the top performing prospects in attendance. Penn was that way on Saturday. And he had some company along the defensive line. There were a few moments during 1 on 1’s when the defensive line as a group was absolutely dominating.

LINEBACKER MVP
Another 2025 prospect on defense and another prospect that we didn’t know about coming into Saturday was Norman linebacker Behrett Boyd Behrett Boyd 5’10” | 195 lbs | LB Norman | 2025 State OK . The Norman product first turned heads during the testing portion when he was one of the top performers among linebackers in the 40-yard dash. Then after going through individual drills and then 1 on 1’s, it felt like Boyd was running away with the award. He edged out another 2025 linebacker for MVP honors and honestly either player was a good pick. But Boyd just continued to impress throughout the day and it continued even after the camp was over. We went back and pulled up what he did as a sophomore at Norman and the production was outstanding. Nearly 100 tackles and nearly ten sacks on the season. Boyd is definitely a linebacker we want to see more of.
DEFENSIVE BACK MVP
Earlier this week, Moore 2024 cornerback Corey Dean Corey Dean 6’0″ | 180 lbs | DB Moore | 2024 State OK messaged us and said that he believed he was the best cornerback in the state. He talked the talk and then he walked the walk on Saturday afternoon. Anytime we run these camps, the wide receivers always outnumber the defensive backs and Saturday was no different. But that just gave the Moore standout more opportunities to showcase his ability to stay with just about every wide receiver in attendance and make a play on the ball and force incompletion after incompletion. And earlier we mentioned that Rodney Fields Rodney Fields 6’0″ | RB Del City | 2024 State OK shared the honor of fastest 40-yard dash time with another positional MVP and that was Dean, who clocked in at 4.44 as well. Our 2024 rankings will come out in a little over a week. We can’t say right now if Dean will be at the top for DB but he made a good case.
