Chandler senior running back Casmen Hill Casmen Hill 5’11” | 175 lbs | RB Chandler | 2023 State OK has had an unreal career and he should definitely be mentioned more around the state as one of the top running backs in Oklahoma. Hill burst onto the scene as a sophomore by going for over 2,000 yards and 25 touchdowns. Coming into the playoffs, Hill has run for over 6,500 yards and 73 touchdowns in his career. He’s been one of the more consistent and productive running backs in Class 2A over the last three seasons and he’s looking to help the Lions reach new heights in the playoffs. Hill and the Lions open up the playoffs against Hennessey, a team that has another player to watch on this breakdown. Hill has been a player to watch not only this season but over the last few years and we’re looking forward to seeing how he finishes off his career.
Arguably the biggest question going into the Class 2A playoffs is about Rejoice Christian senior quarterback Chance Wilson Chance Wilson 6’3″ | 185 lbs | QB Rejoice Christian | 2023 State OK and his knee that he hurt back in week five. If Wilson, who hasn’t played since hurting his knee in late September, is ready to go for the playoffs, the Eagles might be the favorite to capture their first ever state championship. If Wilson is unable to go, the Eagles have shown that they can still be one of the top teams in the state with sophomore Cale Marley Cale Marley 5’9″ | 170 lbs | ATH Rejoice Christian | 2025 State OK leading the offense. All indication to us coming into this week is that Wilson is getting close to returning. If he doesn’t return this week, there’s a good chance he’ll come back next week, as long as the Eagles take care of business on Friday. Rejoice would love to have Wilson back this week as they host Beggs Friday. Wilson torched the Demons in the regular season.

This one shouldn’t come as a surprise as the Jones Longhorns once again have one of the better quarterbacks in Class 2A. We first saw junior QB Clayton Creasey Clayton Creasey 6’1″ | 195 lbs | QB Jones | 2024 State OK last spring, before his sophomore season and when he was Carson May’s backup. We saw then that the Longhorns would be in good hands when May graduated. And once again, the Longhorns continue to roll out quarterbacks who are going to be some of the best prospects in their class. It’s what they’ve done for the last decade and Creasey is next up. Following a brutal start to the season against a tough non-district schedule, Creasey and the Longhorns lit up their district and they come into the playoffs with seven consecutive wins. Creasey has showed off his arm this season but he can also beat opponents by tucking the ball and running.
Washington comes into the Class 2A playoffs as the team to beat and are looking for another trip to Edmond so they can finally capture the state championship after settling for silver the last two years. And on a team full of standouts on both sides of the ball, one of the more consistent playmakers over the last two seasons has been senior running back Cole Scott Cole Scott 5’11” | 190 lbs | RB Washington | 2023 State OK . The Warriors are loaded on both sides of the ball and Scott is one of the leaders of not only the offense but of the team. Scott has had another stellar season after his breakout season a year ago. We like Scott and the Warriors coming into the playoffs but it appears that they are on an absolute crash course for Rejoice Christian in the quarterfinals. Rejoice puts up points so Scott and the Warriors are going to have to come with their A game in case of a shootout.

One of the more versatile athletes is Vian senior DeSean Mays DeSean Mays 6’0″ | 160 lbs | RB Vian | 2023 State OK . After being a standout running back for the last several seasons, Mays has not only stood out as a running back, he’s also been used as a wide receiver and even a little on defense. That’s been the case because of the emergence of freshman running back Masyn Wright Masyn Wright 5’11” | 180 lbs | ATH Vian | 2026 State OK , who has definitely taken some of the stress off Mays when it comes to carrying the rock. Now, when you look at the Wolverines and specifically in their backfield, they have one of the best running back duos in Class 2A and in the state overall. But when you look at the Class 2A bracket, Vian is on the side of the bracket that is absolutely loaded with top teams. So they are going to need not only Mays, but also Wright to keep performing the way they’ve been performing the last two months.
There are few players across the state that have been playing better football in the last month other than Victory Christian senior standout Judah Byrams Judah Byrams 5’8″ | RB Victory Christian | 2023 State OK . Victory Christian would capture a district championship in week ten after a 2-3 start to the season. Over the last month, Byrams has put up some serious numbers on the ground. And that includes Victory Christian’s week ten win over Kiefer that clinched their district championship. The Conquerors have won district championships in back to back seasons but they are hungry for playoff success after getting bounced out of the playoffs early last season. Byrams isn’t the biggest running back in the state’s senior class but he is truly dynamic in the Victory offense. We expect him to have a very big impact if the Conquerors end up making a big playoff run.
Eufaula senior quarterback Luke Adcock Luke Adcock 6’3″ | 205 lbs | QB Eufaula | 2023 State OK might be the best player in Class 2A that isn’t a statewide name on the gridiron. Adcock is a really good baseball player and has been committed to play college baseball for well over a year. But Adcock needs to get more respect as a quarterback. Coming into this season, we were curious how good Eufaula would be without their star wide receiver from last year Khelil Deere. But Adcock has been one of the more productive players in Class 2A this season. He’s still put up numbers in the passing game but he’s also turned around and had a massive impact in the running game. Adcock is a big physical athlete that is just as dangerous in the passing game as he is when he tucks it and runs. He helped lead Eufaula to a district championship in a week ten win over Idabel.
On the other side of that Eufaula-Idabel match-up is sophomore sensation Ravian Larry Ravian Larry 6’1″ | RB Idabel | 2025 State OK . Idabel has to be considered the team of the future in Class 2A as the Warriors have several key pieces that are sophomores or younger on both sides of the ball. Last season, Larry had a breakout season as a freshman running back and he’s been outstanding once again this season. Larry has emerged as the state’s number one overall prospect in the state’s 2025 class. Larry is a big physical back that can breakaway from opponents after running them over. Larry has put up some big numbers over the last two seasons and Idabel has to be taken seriously in the Class 2A playoffs. The biggest hurdle will be the side of the bracket as the side they are on is loaded. But Idabel is definitely a team to look out for moving forward.
Millwood has returned to the playoffs after a rare miss on the postseason last season. And a big reason they are back and a contender once again is the senior leadership of running back and overall athlete Rickey Hunt Jr Rickey Hunt Jr 6’0″ | 175 lbs | RB Millwood | 2023 State OK . The Millwood standout has played a variety of positions over his career and has settled in at running back and he’s been one of the top impact players in the state, not just in Class 2A. Hunt is a dynamic athlete that can make plays in a variety of ways and recently, the Millwood standout would announce his commitment to Ohio after getting several D1 offers from all over the country. Hunt also helped lead the Millwood basketball team to a state championship back in March. So as we go into the playoffs, Hunt has some championship pedigree and is ready to lead the Falcons on the gridiron.
We mentioned that Chandler-Hennessey game. Hennessey has a freshman quarterback that we cannot wait to see in person with Titan Hix Titan Hix 6’3″ | 210 lbs | QB Locust Grove | 2026 State OK . From the very first game of the season, Hix has been on our radar. In his first ever game, again, as a freshman, Hix threw for nearly 400 yards and five touchdowns and also added over 100 yards and a touchdown on the ground. For the season, Hix has thrown for nearly 2,500 yards and added nearly 1,000 yards on the ground. He has 24 passing touchdowns and 18 rushing touchdowns. This kid has put up some numbers that you only see after adjusting the settings on Madden. And he’s doing it as a freshman! We’re very interested in seeing how he performs under the bright lights of the playoffs, against a Chandler team that has a really good offense as well. This game could turn into a shootout.
