, who has definitely taken some of the stress off Mays when it comes to carrying the rock. Now, when you look at the Wolverines and specifically in their backfield, they have one of the best running back duos in Class 2A and in the state overall. But when you look at the Class 2A bracket, Vian is on the side of the bracket that is absolutely loaded with top teams. So they are going to need not only Mays, but also Wright to keep performing the way they’ve been performing the last two months.

He is so incredibly productive and has been a big part of Vian’s success over the last three seasons. The Wolverines are once again in the state championship picture this season and Mays is a big part of that. . The senior standout finished with just over 300 yards and four touchdowns and he only had 12 carries on the night. He should feel fresh for the final two games of the regular season and beyond. Vian has completely bounced back from a brutal non-district schedule, featuring two teams ranked #1.
