. Victory Christian would capture a district championship in week ten after a 2-3 start to the season. Over the last month, Byrams has put up some serious numbers on the ground. And that includes Victory Christian’s week ten win over Kiefer that clinched their district championship. The Conquerors have won district championships in back to back seasons but they are hungry for playoff success after getting bounced out of the playoffs early last season. Byrams isn’t the biggest running back in the state’s senior class but he is truly dynamic in the Victory offense. We expect him to have a very big impact if the Conquerors end up making a big playoff run.

Byrams and the Conquerors are also peaking at the right time with the playoffs right around the corner. plays way beyond his size. What he lacks in his stature, he makes up for with heart. He took one hand off or pitch after another throughout the night and attacked the defense head on. Time and time again, he showed fearlessness as he ran up the middle. He also showed the ability to get to the sidelines or to catch a ball along the sidelines and turn nothing into something. One example of this is when his team faced 3rd and 25. On this play, he took the handoff, broke to the sidelines, juked a couple of defenders, and gained 30 yards on the play. He has a lot of power to truck over guys or to carry a pile, but he also showed the ability to juke out opponents. This kind of heart and play rewarded him in the stats column, as he ended the game with five rushing touchdowns. One of the touchdowns solidified the game with just under two minutes left. On 4th and 3, his team went for it and handed off to him. The defense was right, but he broke their tackles. He went on to score a 45 yard touchdown run to expand the lead to 34-22. This is a player that has power, heart, and fearlessness. His performance was amazing to watch, as he ended the game with almost 200 rushing yards.
