Get used to seeing Rejoice Christian quarterback on these weekly reports this year. He was a finalist for Player Of The Year last year, was a top performer several times throughout the year and has picked up where he left from his junior season. Rejoice went on the road and dominated two-time Class A champion Cashion. Wilson threw for nearly 400 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 83 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Wilson is arguably the best dual-threat quarterback in the state and he showed why in week zero.

One quarterback who is on the rise as a dual-threat QB in Oklahoma is Bixby’s Connor Kirby Connor Kirby 6'2" | 190 lbs | ATH Bixby | 2023 State OK . Last year, he was used almost exclusively as a runner but this year he’s more of a dual-threat QB. In their big win over Owasso on Thursday, Kirby threw for over 100 yards and a touchdown. He also added 130 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground. Kirby also had the longest run of his career as he got loose for an 85-yard touchdown run. Kirby and the Spartans captured their 50th consecutive win on Thursday night.

Collins lived up to the hype as the Pirates prevailed. Collins would run for 178 yards and two touchdowns. And those two touchdowns were long runs that showed why Collins is one of our picks to be one of the best players in the state. We’ve already made comparisons to McAlester star Erik McCarty Erik McCarty 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB McAlester | 2023 State OK when it comes to Collins and he’s off to a good start.

Moore found themselves in a shootout with Edmond Memorial on Friday night and would outgun the Bulldogs behind their senior quarterback Denver Wolfe Denver Wolfe 5'11" | QB Moore | 2023 State OK . The Lions kicked off the Greg Bryant era with a win and looked fantastic on the offensive side of the ball. Wolfe completed 24 of 32 passes for nearly 350 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 42 yards on the ground as the Lions would prevail in the shootout. Moore is determined to leave no doubt this year after missing the playoffs despite a 7-3 record last season.

Del City made plenty of headlines on Friday night when they knocked off 6A-2’s #1 Choctaw, 38-34. Del City’s top stars shined brightest in the win and the player of the game was Kansas State defensive back commit Kanijal Thomas Kanijal Thomas 6'1" | DB Del City | 2023 State OK . In addition to being a shutdown corner on defense, where he came up with an interception, Thomas was also Del City’s leading wide receiver on offense. He finished with nearly 170 yards and three touchdowns on five receptions. The Eagles look to continue that momentum in Tulsa against Booker T Washington this week.

Prior to the season, we believed that Page had the chance to be a breakout player this fall and he grabbed attention very early this season. He would finish with just over 200 yards and all five Sand Springs touchdowns on an eye-opening 39 carries. The Sandites had plenty of success running the football and will look to continue that with Page this fall.

Get used to seeing these kinds of stat lines from Bethany 2023 standout Taylor Heim Taylor Heim 6'4" | 185 lbs | ATH Bethany | 2023 State OK throughout this season. In their week zero win over Jones in a game featuring top ten teams in 4A and 2A respectively, Heim was dominant on both sides of the ball. He finished with just over 200 yards and recorded a passing touchdown, rushing touchdown and receiving touchdown. And as if that wasn’t enough, he also had two interceptions on the defensive side of the ball. Heim is one of the most versatile weapons in 4A football and is ready for a very busy season.

Hennessey quarterback Titan Hix Titan Hix 6'3" | 210 lbs | QB Locust Grove | 2026 State OK , who is just a freshman, was flat out dominant in their week zero victory on Friday night. Hix put up the best numbers of any player across the state. He threw for nearly 400 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 136 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Hix’s performance has us very excited to see what’s next for Hix moving forward this season. At 6’4 and with numbers like that, he’s a name that you need to know immediately moving forward.

Despite having to break in several new faces on the offensive side of the ball, especially at the wide receiver position, Pawhuska 2023 quarterback Todd Drummond Todd Drummond 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Pawhuska | 2023 State OK had no problems in their week zero win over Caney Valley. Drummond threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns on 19-26 passing. He also added 58 yards and two touchdowns as the Huskies rolled to an easy win in week zero. Drummond and Pawhuska now turn their attention to the team that has ended their season in the semifinals in the last two years as Cashion comes to town.

While Bixby-Owasso had most of the state’s attention on Thursday night, Muldrow was knocking off rival Roland and 2023 athlete Trenden Collins Trenden Collins 6'2" | ATH Muldrow | 2023 State OK was having an outstanding night. At running back and defensive back, Collins was a star. He finished with 165 yards and three touchdowns on just seven carries. On defense, he had seven tackles and three interceptions, including one that he took back for a touchdown. Collins has been a defensive back prospect that has flown under the radar but hopefully coaches start noticing the Muldrow star.
