In this post, we take a look at some of the notable names that will be competing in the Showcase event on Sunday in Broken Arrow.
2023 PROSPECTS
[player_tooltip player_id="112479" first="Chance" last="Jordan"] - Defensive Lineman - Beggs
The first of a few All State 1st Team selections that will be attending is Beggs defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="112479" first="Chance" last="Jordan"]. The Beggs defensive tackle was one of the more disruptive players in the state during the 2021 season and we're looking forward to catching another look at him in person. Jordan is a defensive prospect in the 2023 class that should have a very busy and productive offseason in terms of recruiting.
[player_tooltip player_id="215195" first="Danny" last="Okoye"] - Defensive Lineman - NOAH
One of the more lesser known defensive lineman prospects might be NOAH's [player_tooltip player_id="215195" first="Danny" last="Okoye"]. We've mentioned this before how NOAH doesn't get as much coverage around the state because they are a home school team. However, throw on the tape and watch Okoye, and a few of his teammates out and you'll see why he's mentioned here. We are VERY excited to check out this potential game changing defensive end in person.
[player_tooltip player_id="57158" first="Emmanuel" last="Crawford"] - Running Back - Grove
All Grove running back [player_tooltip player_id="57158" first="Emmanuel" last="Crawford"] did in 2021 was run for more than 2,000 yards and nearly 40 touchdowns and help the Ridgerunners to a district championship. Another All State 1st Team selection, Crawford was one of the best running backs week in and week out across the state. It's going to be fun to see the dynamic playmaker showcase his talents against some of Oklahoma's best.
[player_tooltip player_id="38790" first="Kirk" last="Francis"] - Quarterback - Metro Christian
The first of a pair of 2023 quarterbacks that we're very excited to see is Metro Christian QB [player_tooltip player_id="38790" first="Kirk" last="Francis"]. The Patriot standout helped lead Metro Christian to a state championship in his sophomore season. Despite an early playoff exit in 2021, Francis still put up numbers and was one of the better quarterbacks in the state. The quarterback position is loaded at this weekend's camp so it'll be a good opportunity to see where Francis stands against some of the other top QB's.
[player_tooltip player_id="51871" first="Michael" last="Taffe"] - Running Back - Bishop McGuinness
In addition to Crawford at Grove, Bishop McGuinness running back [player_tooltip player_id="51871" first="Michael" last="Taffe"] ran for more than 2,000 yards this season and helped the Irish back to the playoffs where they lost in a shootout to Collinsville. Taffe is a big reason why the Irish will be one of the favorites in Class 5A in 2022. One of the more versatile offensive weapons in the 2023 class, Taffe brings a lot of skills to the table.
[player_tooltip player_id="38780" first="Steele" last="Wasel"] - Quarterback - Choctaw
We mentioned the quarterback position being loaded. Choctaw quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="38780" first="Steele" last="Wasel"] will be on hand for the Showcase on Sunday afternoon. Wasel has been the top 2023 quarterback in the state really since his freshman season, even before he was the starter for Choctaw. The Choctaw standout has continued to get better and is ready to have an outstanding offseason displaying his talents throwing the ball.

2024 PROSPECTS
[player_tooltip player_id="215199" first="Clayton" last="Creasey"] - Quarterback - Jones
One prospect that we're very excited to see is Jones sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="215199" first="Clayton" last="Creasey"]. While he played running back for the longhorns in 2021, he should be the next starting quarterback, replacing Iowa-bound [player_tooltip player_id="38671" first="Carson" last="May"]. We got our first glimpse of Creasey last summer during a team camp and it was apparent that Jones would have another standout QB following May's graduation. This will be our next chance to see what he can do.
[player_tooltip player_id="110739" first="Red" last="Martel"] - Running Back - Beggs
Arguably one of the best 2024 prospects in the state, regardless of position is Beggs running back [player_tooltip player_id="110739" first="Red" last="Martel"]. The standout sophomore shined this season alongside OSU signee [player_tooltip player_id="38669" first="CJ" last="Brown"]. He'll be the main guy in the Beggs backfield in 2022 and will have a chance to put up some monster numbers. Martel is expecting to have a very busy offseason where he showcases his talents at various camps.

2025 PROSPECTS
[player_tooltip player_id="209872" first="David" last="McComb"] - Quarterback - Edmond Memorial
The 2025 class in Oklahoma already has several quarterbacks who have shined following the 2021 season. The most known is Jenks QB [player_tooltip player_id="188014" first="Shaker" last="Reisig"], who led the Trojans to a state title. However, perhaps the best 2025 QB prospect right now is at Edmond Memorial with [player_tooltip player_id="209872" first="David" last="McComb"]. The young Bulldog already passes the eye test for the QB position and we're excited to see him in drills with a very talented QB group.
[player_tooltip player_id="188013" first="Demarius" last="Robinson"] - Running Back - Edmond Santa Fe
Staying in Edmond for our next prospect as Edmond Santa Fe running back Damarius Robinson will be on hand with the running back group. Robinson was arguably the biggest breakout star among the freshmen class in Oklahoma. As a freshman in 6A-1, Robinson took the reigns as the starter for Santa Fe from day one and accounted for over 1,500 yards this season. He'll be part of a special running back group Sunday.
