Though Westen Ard Westen Ard 6'2" | 230 lbs | LB Houston County | 2026 State GA is a defensive standout for the Houston County Bears, he does appear on offense and is an absolute force when he does. He is usually in the wildcat formation and uses his 230-pound frame to power his way into the endzone for goal line situations or even for first downs. he is going to be one to watch for during those parts of the game offensively. Again, he is a defensive standout but do not discount him for being impactful for this Bears offense.

Western Ard is another versatile, well-developed prospect on the Houston County defense. He has produced for a few years up to this point. Here is what PRZ Scout Matt DeBary has said on Ard in the past:

Ard is a Prep Redzone Showcase Alumni and has made huge strides since his Freshman season. A two year starter for the Bears that racked up 123 TT with 23 TFL last season. Recruiting for this 1st Team All Region LB has caught fire during this offseason. He has received a couple of handful of offers over the past few weeks. Liberty, Jax St, Georgia State and App State are among the schools that have expressed interest. On film he shows good anticipation and explosiveness at the snap. Coupled with his size, Ard is a technically sound tackler and very physical.

Outlook

A Top 15 ranked LB prospect heading into his Senior Year. Ard will have a choice of schools to decide between next Winter. D1 Talent.
