One of the better wide receivers in the state this season, as he is someone who has made this team 10x better with his ability to run routes and his ability to score as a whole. He is a player that any defense would need to scheme around, but even when that is the case, his success will still come just like it did in round one. He walked away with 135 yards and two touchdowns in one of the more impressive performances in the state playoffs.

MJ Mathis MJ Mathis 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Houston County | 2026 GA has been lights out all year, getting behind defenses and taking the tops off of defenses making big plays and he has been very difficult to defend. His hands are strong and he has route running ability that allows him tom quickly get open and use those strong hands. He is a complete wide out that is a huge piece of this Houston County offense and it’s been very hard for teams to contain him this year. Mathis had a terrific first round playoff game last week with 5 receptions and 135 receiving yards. He will be one talent to watch for Friday’s match up.
