is one of the better players in the state at the linebacker position. Paul has teh full package, and is a growing frame, as he has both solid traits in run stuffing and pass rushing. He can also cover wide receivers really well, as he is quick and fast. Paul has the potential to find himself in the top-100 and the top-10 following this next season. I also believe he will be a college athlete one day, as he has all the traits that would allow him to be recruited. He also plays for one of the better high schools in the state of Georgia, which is a huge plus.
Paul is a bonafide P4 LB prospect and has made plays all over the field during his junior campaign. Paul has a good combination of size, speed, and explosiveness with room to pack on more weight. He is a bit of a positionless player in the second level, splitting time between a nickel spot and several different LB spots. Regardless, he is a downhill chaser of the football who leverages his explosiveness and timing to jump the snap, knife past blockers, and engage ball carriers.
A quick, active linebacker who covers a lot of ground in coverage, Paul is an aggressive defender who hits behind his pads. He reads the quarterback well against the pass and has no problem chasing down the ball-carrier against the run. The 6-foot-1 200-pounder plays with a strong motor and it led to an impressive 95 tackles, six TFLs, 3.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. He’s one of the top returning linebackers in the county and has a chance to earn All-Region honors this season as a junior.
Hailing from Macon, Georgia, which is about as middle of the state of Georgia as one can get, Paul is a prospect I see some big potential in. He has a very good frame on him at 6-foot-1 and 170-pounds with rounded shoulders and requisite muscle mass. The three-sport athlete has had quite the eighth-grade school year, winning champions in both football and basketball already. While basketball could be his best sport from what I’ve seen, he’s a menace at Middle Linebacker. On the blitz he was borderline unblockable for Appling Middle School this past season, using great instincts, quickness and well-timed jumps on the snap. Paul played Running Back on the offensive side of the ball and also starred there as well. He’s off to Northeast High School in the fall, where the Raiders finished 2022 with an 8-4 record before losing in the Class 2A State Semi-finals to eventual State Champion, Thomson High School.
