has been a tremendous addition to an already dangerous Frederick Douglass offense this season. While he has seen limited action in the first two playoff games due to being pulled early during blowout wins, he has been productive when on the field, running the ball six times for 75 yards and three touchdowns. Smith has very explosive speed which he uses to hit the running lane with a sense of urgency then simply run away from the defense on long runs. He has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Peyton is committed to Eastern Kentucky where I can see him developing into a key player in their offense once he gets there.

. Smith recently transferred to Frederick Douglass from Taylor County where he finished his junior year with 165 carries for 1,538 yards and 21 touchdowns in 12 games. Peyton has very impressive speed which he uses to get to the outside then up the field in a hurry to run away from the defense on long runs. Once he hits the open field, he has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss with ease. He also finished his junior year with 10 receptions for 93 yards and returned one kickoff for a touchdown. Smith is committed to Eastern Kentucky where I can see him developing into a key piece of their offense once he gets there.

is a running back that has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to impress this past season. He finished his junior year with 165 carries for 1,538 yards and 21 touchdowns in 12 games. Smith is a strong runner, showing the contact balance to break tackles with ease without losing stride. He has also shown the speed to get to the outside in a hurry and turn up the field then run away from the defense. Smith also finished this past season with 10 receptions for 93 yards and returned one kickoff for a touchdown. Peyton currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the Division I level and recently transferred to a powerhouse program in Frederick Douglass where he should have a lot of eyes on him.

is another incoming junior running back that has been high on our radar for a while now. He is coming off a strong sophomore season in which he carried the ball 107 times for 1,242 yards and 17 touchdowns in just seven games. Smith has an impressive combination of speed and strength as a ball carrier. He has the speed to run away from the defense but also has the strength/contact balance to run straight through defenders without breaking stride. Smith also has great vision in the open field which he uses to find cut back lanes. He has also shown the ability to pose as a threat in the passing game, catching two passes for touchdowns last season. Peyton currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber running back prospect.

put on a very impressive performance this past Sunday. The first thing that stood out with Smith was his ability to change speed and direction with ease during position drills. During 1v1 leverage drills against linebackers, he showed that he is very shifty, making the defender miss on multiple occasions. He was also impressive during 1v1 passing drills, showing the ability to create separation from linebackers. Peyton currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky but I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber running back prospect.
