Nicholas started off his senior season with a great showing. He and his fellow DL members did a great job of controlling the inside run game and getting penetration into the backfield to throw off timing of plays. Nicholas in particular is an athlete we have watched closely for years and it is all coming together this year. He has long been a technician, now we are seeing the superior strength quickly shed blocks and his ability to transition speed to power out of his stance jumped off the field last night. McCullough also showed good awareness throughout the night, finding the ball and pursuing it. Harvard has a great prospect coming in with size, strength, technique, and experience.

. The development Nicholas showed in 2023 has me excited for the year ahead for him. He has long been a technician. Winning with proper leverage, hand fighting technique, and the use of counter moves. In 2023, we saw a jump in the physical traits. We see him be able to keep separation with a strong single arm. He proves that he can drive his man off the ball to collapse the pocket with power. The junior also shows the quick feet to pair with that power to be able to fight over the top of blocks. The high motor is also still there. We are starting to see an exciting blend of technique, power, and football IQ coming together in the Muskego standout.

. I am very excited by the development Nicholas shows every time I check in on his tape. He has a great frame to continue to build on and fill out. I am a big fan of the hand use, and the power behind his hands. Multiple clips show him landing quick, accurate punches to the OL chest that popped them off the line, and then Nicholas flashed the burst to shoot through the gap he created. The range jumps out too. Mukwonago tried to stretch the field horizontally, but the big man was able to run with them, maintain his gap, and stuff the play when they tried to cut up field. Throughout the entire highlights you see the natural power to hold his ground and maintain the line of scrimmage. It was a great showing on a big stage by the stud DL.

One of my favorite highlight reels to watch is that of the 2025 DE out of Muskego. Nicholas currently sits at 6’3″ 235 lbs. That is 10 lbs heavier than he played in 2022. The long DE is one of the most technically sound defensive linemen I have seen; especially for his age. He has a variety of pass rush moves and his hand usage overall is top of the line. His hands are both quick and strong allowing him to make first contact, and keep himself clean. Athletically, McCullough has solid first step explosiveness off the ball. He also has a strong football IQ. He understands how the OL is blocking him, counters it, and is able to then quickly find the ball. Nicholas is on a great trajectory of technique and talent. Big things ahead for him.

Nicholas is quickly becoming one of the top PRZ WI Showcase veterans. Each time he comes back he is better than the session before. He has grown to just under 6’3″ and 242.4 lbs. I was most impressed by how much of a technician he has become. The sophomore plays with the technique of a much older prospect. He flies out of his stance with very low pad level. He always makes first contact with his hands on the inside of his opponent’s chest. Nicholas always kept separation with his long arms. From there, McCullough capitalized on that separation with finely tuned pass rush moves. He demonstrated a long arm move, spin move, and also showed counter moves if his initial move was stopped. Nicholas strengthened his grip on DL1 for the Class of 2025. Big summer and fall ahead of him.

Another stud sophomore that I can’t wait to see in person is the DL1 for the Class of 2025. Nicholas has been fun to watch develop over the past two seasons. He is up to 6’3″ 235 lbs and has already been on FBS campuses this spring. Nicholas has been putting in the work this offseason, so I am expecting strong testing numbers. His natural pass rush traits are going to shine in the on eon ones. You can bet that I will be there watching him battle it out when that portion of the workout rolls around.
