Stat Line: 9 Tackles, 2 TFLs, 2 Sacks

One of the best defensive players in the state is Muskego senior LB CJ Reitz CJ Reitz 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Muskego | 2027 State WI and he is coming off a week where he truly looked like it. The first clip is the senior simply reading and filling his gap and muscling through the gap to meet the RB for little to no gain. Clip 2 we see the range to be able to meet the jet sweeping WR at the sideline before they can get loose upfield. The ILB does a great job of quickly reading the OL or mirroring the RB’s movements in the backfield and meeting them right at the line with a stout tackle. CJ does really well at navigating traffic while still taking the shortest paths to the football. The senior’s burst and closing speed were huge to one of his sacks on the night. The senior is a true 3 down LB and uncommitted.

Unfortunately, CJ had a very shortened season due to injury, but what that small sample size shows is an LB who was ready to go off. While we had to wait an extra year for the breakout season, the wait is finally over. The 6’2″ 205 lbs LB is ready to get back in the middle of that Muskego front seven and wreak havoc. The traits definitely flash in the short film. Instinctual, very quick trigger and closing speed, violent tackler. Vs the run it jumps off the tape how quickly CJ is able to read the OL and fill accordingly to stuff the RB in the hole. CJ enters his senior season with six offers under his belt.
