. Looking for a massive DT/NG who can eat up space? Give Martell a look. He forced double teams all day and still was able to hold his ground, allowing LBs to roam around behind him and make tackles. Martell does a great job of using leverage to hold the line and his hands to clean himself of those IOL blocks. Harris also showed that he was more than just a space eater by collecting 6 tackles of his own. Don’t overlook the Crusaders monster in the middle.

I believe Martell is another athlete in this article that college coaches may be waiting to see the senior film start to come out from before they offer. His massive 6’3″ 330 lbs frame should have grabbed plenty of attention, now he just has to keep proving he can win in the trenches consistently. As a junior he showed the high upside flashes. He is a space eater that can collect blockers to ensure that his LBs are running free behind him. The big man has also proven he is able to hold the line of scrimmage against double teams. Also, when teams have attempted to block him one on one Martell has shown the upper body strength to create space and disengage from blocks then make the tackle. If he can prove to be even more of a mismatch this fall, teams will be very interested in his talents.

. He is a mammoth of a DT at 6’3″ 330 lbs, and his ability to hold the line of scrimmage is as much of a strength as you would expect. IOL can’t get him off his spot with one on one blocks, and double teams have a hard time as well. Against one on one blocks Martell shows off how powerful his hands are as he tosses guards to the side and then shows off a high motor as he pressures QBs. The push that he creates with his power effects plays even if he doesn’t make the tackle too. Check out the tape of the monster DT/NG.
