Marshawn Coleman Marshawn Coleman 5'9" | 165 lbs | ATH Desert Edge | 2027 State AZ was one of the more impressive all-around watches out of this group because there just really isn’t much he looks uncomfortable doing. As a defender specifically, he feels really complete. If you want him up at the line pressing, he can do that. He’s got the feet and competitive edge to get into guys early, and then he has the speed to stay attached once the route develops. If you want to back him off and let him read things from a little more depth, he can do that too, and I thought he looked really natural driving down on the ball when something showed in front of him. That kind of versatility is huge because it keeps a defense from having to protect him with usage. You don’t have to box him into one thing and hope it works. He can handle different asks. Then once the ball actually comes his way, the ball skills show up in a big way. He looks comfortable locating it, playing it, and making something happen. Honestly, it makes a lot of sense when you see he’s also dangerous on the other side of the ball as a slot receiver and a problem in the return game. That background shows up. Players who spend real time handling the football tend to carry themselves differently in those moments, and Coleman absolutely looks like one of those guys. He’s not one-dimensional at all. He can match up, he can react, he can make plays on the football, and the offensive value only reinforces why his instincts and ball skills look so natural on the defensive end. Really well-rounded player, and really fun tape.
