Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A dynamic athlete on the rise in North Georgia who can make an impact in several different ways, Davis is a bigpplay weapon who can stretch the field, make plays on the perimeter, and help in the return game on special teams. He’s a natural runner with the ball who can elude defenders with ease after the catch. He shows terrific ball skills with the ability to bring down a tough catch in tight coverage. As a sophomore last season for the impressive Cartersville Purple Hurricanes, Davis hauled in 36 passes for 774 yards and six touchdowns. As good as he was last year, look for Davis to be among some of the state’s best next season as a junior.

*Davis now plays at Cartersville*
There’s a lot to like about Madoxx Davis and his upside. He is a prolific T/F athlete, PR’ing at 10.96 in the 100M this spring and playing a role in one of the best 4×100 relay teams in the state. Davis is capable of making plays at each level of the field. He has the speed to threaten DBs vertically and run away from defenders in space. However, he is also super sudden and light on his feet, frequently getting himself out of congested areas and into space. He is a gadget player who was used in several ways as a freshman. I predict plenty of FBS buzz in the future for him.

The 5’11 175 had a productive Freshman season at North Cobb Christian accounting for over 450 total yards. He had 7 multi-catch games and finished the year with 350 receiving yards and showed his versatility by having a 100 yard rushing game vs North Murray. PRZN staff has been high on this guy since his middle school years where he was 2xB2C WR of The Year. A multisport standout that has natural athletic ability and great hands. He will be a standout on the defensive side of the ball as well before his high school career is done.

Georgia WR of the Year is putting everyone on notice before the first kickoff of the season. Last week he went 3 for 3 in a scrimmage. His first touchdown was a sweep around the right side, then he caught a flat which he took it the distance, and finally added another catch on a bubble that resulted in six points. If this is any indication on what type of season

will have, it’s scary. This multi-sport, multi-position stud is also a National Champ with some of the softest hands at this level I’ve seen. The offseason work is paying off when you see his agility and balance come into play on both sides of the ball. Madoxx isn’t afraid to come downhill and lay some wood with on defense. Primarily his skill set best fits offense, but I know he will makes plays wherever he lines up this fall.
