A young, talented linebacker to know at Cartersville, Melvin is a smart defender with plenty of talent and untapped potential. He’s active, has a nose for the ball, and knows how to make a strong, secure tackle on the ball-carrier. Melvin saw the field some as a freshman and has a chance to have an impactful sophomore season for an incredibly talented Cartersville defense. Their 2028 class is loaded and Melvin is among one of the best they have in that class. Half of the battle sometimes is looking the part for a players psyche. Cooper has that covered in his 5’9 etched out muscular frame. Some throw him into the “ATH” category because of what all he can do. Right now he is leading his team to an undefeated season so far playing some linebacker. Cooper is a physical specimen who has the ball skills to turn into a very good strong safety as well if he wanted to in high school. He is a second effort type kid who moves so well laterally. At the point of contact, do not expect his feet to stop running. Seeing him play in space during 7on7 and playing a little offense is testament to how athletic he really is.
