is someone I have had the chance to cover since his middle school days, and he has always showcased a great deal of natural God-given talent along the way. He is someone who is very hard to contain off of the defensive line, he has outstanding size and he has the agility to disrupt offensive lines in a split second. He currently holds several D1 offers and you can expect a massive season for Pope in 2026.

An outstanding young outside linebacker in North Georgia, Pope is someone we’re written about multiple times over the years, and he deserves more recognition after earning a major offer from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. The promising sophomore took his game to another level last year, showing he’s a max-effort defender who plays hard and knows how to create havoc in the backfield. The Cartersville program consistently produced Power Four talent and Pope is one of the best overall prospects in the region in the 2028 class. He’s fresh off a really strong sophomore season and is expected to be even better in year three as a junior. Look for other offers to come his way over time.

A quick-reacting defensive end on the rise who saw the field as a freshman last year for an outstanding Cartersville program, Pope brings excellent size for his age at 6-foot-2 200-pounds who is on pace to be one of the top pass-rushers in North Georgia in the 2028 class. As a freshman, Pope made 13 tackles and forced a fumble. If he continues to add weight and muscle while developing his craft, Pope has a chance to have a breakout sophomore season in 2025.

Pope is a guy I have covered for a couple of years now and he’s got tremendous ability and work ethic which explains a lot of why he’s proven to be so dominate. He has great size and as he continues to develop, he’s going to be more of a force. Pope displayed many times last season of why his potential is so high. This season is going to be a monster year for Pope and he is among in the top of the list in the 2028 class as far as I am concerned because his limit is no limit, Pope is special and I expect him to put that on the National scale this year and add even more offers to his list.

hasn’t accomplished on the pre-high school level during his time in middle school. From standing out at the Prep Redzone Next Middle School Camp in Georgia as a seventh-grader, to earning multiple B2C awards, winning a GMSAA title and a laundry list of other accomplishments–he’s been special. Fittingly enough, he’ll wrap up his middle school career with the Georgia Future Stars program this upcoming June. He’s been a selection for the prestigious team each year he’s been in middle school and has been an absolute gem each time. He’s destined for very big things and I’m excited to see him play one more time before his career takes off on the high school level.

– Either myself, or another Prep Redzone Next scout, have seen Pope play at least twice a year over the past two years and he’s worth the trip down south alone. Loved him as a sixth grader last year on the Georgia Future Stars, and he came back even better this year as a seventh grader
– Up to 6-foot-1 and 180-solid-pounds that made life tough for offensive tackle’s, as he rushed off the edge with exceptional athleticism
– Without the benefit of having official stats I can’t remember if he tallied any official sacks, but I know he was in the backfield a lot, and had a number of tackles for loss.
– His speed and ability to strike really stood out to me. Thrived against zone blocking because offensive linemen would step left or right, not see him as the most immediate threat and then look for someone else to block. Meanwhile, the second the blocker was gone, he used his elite quickness to shoot in the hole to make a stop

of Cedartown demonstrated versatility to play any number of positions, and play them effectively. With good height and weighing 180 lbs. he has amazing quickness and bend from the defensive end position to be an elite pass rusher. He was athletic enough to be one of the best running backs or receivers at the camp also.

For most Offensive Tackles on the middle school and high school level, having to deal with a speed rusher makes for a long four quarters. Now, imagine that speed rusher is also a talented Running Back…that’s

. The Cedartown Bulldogs 2028 prospect is a site to see coming off the edge. Currently 5-foot-11 and 175-pounds he’s fast and violent off the edge with exceptional hands. Saw him live several times last year, most recently as a member of the Georgia Future Stars in June. During practice he was exceptional. Pope did a text book job of getting into the chest of Offensive Tackles, getting them off balance and ripping or clubbing his way into the backfield. I’m not sure if Defensive End will be his position longterm because of his athleticism, but for right now, he’s a problem.
