An outstanding prospect who started in the secondary of a defending state champion is

. At safety, he will absolutely lay his body into a ball carrier to light them up without hesitation. With power, speed is a part of Ramos’ game too, as we see him on tape have enough of it to undercut passes and run in the open field. I thought that as a pass defender he carries his receivers well through zones and to the perimeter, doing so especially well when square to them. As a single high safety Ramos knows to read the quarterback’s eyes and move with them. Like the name implies, at safety he cleans a lot of things up as the last-line of defense, both in the run and pass. When rolled down in run support, Ramos fights to maintain his outside leverage, effectively boxing back to his help; all the while being willing to come down hard and crack ball carriers hard – and still have the athleticism to defend hash-to-hash. Ramos is a true, two-way safety that I happen to like a lot.

, who continues to build serious momentum as one of New Jersey’s rising defensive prospects. At 5’11”, 190 pounds, Ramos brings rare versatility, lining up at both defensive back and linebacker and impacting multiple levels of the defense.
First and foremost, his ball skills set him apart. Kane consistently reads the quarterback’s eyes, attacks the football, and turns possessions into takeaways. Even more impressive, he converted several of those turnovers into points, delivering in the biggest moments on the biggest stages.
At the same time, his game near the line of scrimmage continues to evolve. On tape, he shows the willingness and ability to step into the hole, finish one-on-one tackles, and make momentum-changing stops, including on critical fourth downs.
Because of that all-around impact, Kane has already earned two Division I offers, from Virginia Tech and, most recently, Temple. As he continues to grow and refine his physical play, his profile will only rise. If he follows up last season with a similar performance,
