McGee has been one of the more explosive and fun players to watch across the region over the past two seasons, and has one offer from College of Idaho, who came in earlier this week. He is one of the more under the radar kids across the state in the 2024 class, and is another prospect that can go into a D3+ program early and make a positive impact.

McGee is the do it all player for Mountain View where he started the game at Quarterback and then moved to play some Wide Receiver. McGee is coming off a shoulder injury that ended his junior season early and all the senior did was come back for his first game and throw for 100+ yards and 2 touchdowns along with 100+ yards rushing and 1 touchdown. McGee can really do it all as he was able to be accurate with his throws against one of the better defenses in the state and then was able to hurt them with his legs as he impacts the game in a multitude of different ways. Look out for the senior who is going to be on top of everyone’s scouting report this season and a player to stop.

McGee is an all around athlete that is almost positionless. He can play multiple of different positions where he started the season last year on the edge at wide receiver, then had to play quarterback during an injury and finally moved to running back later in the season. He has an excellent feel for the game of football and is able to make plays all over the field. It is hard to classify him as just a running back as he has such a unique skill set when it comes to the game of football. Watch out for the senior as he will be in contention for every post season award.

McGee is primed for a huge season no matter where he plays on the field as he spent time for the Mavericks at Quarterback, Running back and Wide Receiver. His stats last year were ridiculous as he had 709 yards and 12 tds rushing, 18 receptions 156 yards receiving, to go along with one game at quarterback where he was 19/30 for 392 yards and 3 tds. It can be said that he might have a chance to win player of the year at three different positions as he can be a dominant player at each of the three. Its going to be up to the Mavericks how they use him this year but it won’t be a surprise that he is going to have a huge year at whatever position

McGee is one of a kind when it comes to playing in the backfield as he has the ability to do it all. McGee shows a unique feel at running back having spent time at quarterback and wide receivers for the Mavericks in 2022. It shows up in his ability to feel running lanes and set up blocks. Shows a good forward lean and is not afraid of contact in the hole. Shows the ability to have game breaking straight line speed in the open. Has a really good feel for when to make a cut or put his head down for extra yards. He is a willing blocker in pass protection that sets up against blitzing linebackers and has a strong punch to go along with a strong base. Where McGee really excels is his receiving ability out of the backfield. He has natural pass catching hands that doesn’t allow the football to get into his body. Really can track the football and his best ability is in his route running where his time as a wide receiver really shows. He is able to get in and out of breaks with ease and creates a huge matchup problem against linebackers in space. This should be a bright senior year for McGee as he is one of the top returning athletes in the state of Idaho.
