Pichardo is one of the top returning backs across the region heading into 2026, and had a solid Junior season campaign for Mountain View. He is a quick and elusive back with good speed downfield and a strong initial burst through the first level and has start/stop skills as well without losing speed and can gain the edge on the outside. He shows he can bounce off tacklers, makes defenders miss in the hole and can receive from the slot or backfield as well with natural hands and route running abilities. Pichardo has been productive up to this point in his career and is a key notable name returning this fall.
Pichardo checks in as the number three running back in the 2027 rankings and is part of a talented room overall across the state. He is a very explosive and patient runner that waits for his blocks to develop and flashes cutback abilities in tight windows. He has good footwork through traffic and a natural forward lean to get the tough yards inside while also able to bounce it outside the tackles when needed. He is still developing as a ball carrier but is a tremendous natural athlete with catching abilities and an explosive burst with some third level speed as well. Pichardo is another candidate to be one of the states top rushers in 2025 for Mountain View.
The talented rising Junior ball carrier checks into our rankings just inside the top 20 overall, and as a top 3 back in the 2027 class. He is a explosive runner that does a good job getting behind his pads and waiting for his blocks to develop before hitting the hole. He shows natural forward lean and contact balance in the short area while also able to cutback and has start stop abilities near the LOS and is tough to bring down in the open field. Overall, he is a very elusive ball carrier with all the tools to be an effective back at the next level. Look for the Mountain View product to draw college interest at this time next year and have a truly breakout Junior season campaign for the Mavs.
