I caught Nahas in action while scouting last season’s state semifinals at the UNI-Dome. It was good to get another in-person look when Dowling took on Cedar Rapids Kennedy on Oct. 3. What jumped out most was Nahas’ comfortability behind center. He appeared to be much more in control of the offense and commanding the huddle. Nahas did I nice job working through his progressions and getting the ball out on time. Several times, Nahas displayed excellent placement on deep balls and arm strength on quick throws. Nahas is a good athlete that moves well in the pocket. He can pick up yards with his legs or keep plays alive off of schedule. There are plenty of college programs that would benefit from his presence.
