is a prospect that should have an offer by now because of his ability to play multiple positions. Whether it’s one of the safety spots, nickel or even slot corner, Chulu can play them on defense — while also serving as a punt returner.
In just 4.5 games this season, Chulu posted 24.5 tackles and two tackles-for-loss (TFLs), but those numbers don’t speak to what he’s capable of in the secondary. A DB who can help in run support, serve as a one-high, sideline-to-sideline safety and play in one-on-one coverage, Chulu is worthy of a D1 offer.

is a safety/nickel for the J-Hawk defense whose length and athleticism make him a hard-hitting DB in the run game, but also a rangy, sideline-to-sideline defender in pass coverage.
A nose for the ball off the edge in running situations, Chulu fires off the ball into the backfield to stop run plays before they get started. In passing situations, he’ll drop off the line of scrimmage, read the quarterback’s eyes and lay out to register a PBU or force an incompletion.

is another big-framed safety with a huge nose for the football. The J-Hawks’ safety recorded 48.5 tackles, two fumble recoveries, and an interception as a sophomore. Levi emerged as one of the best coverage DBs in this class, excelling as a “centerfield” safety who can sit deep in coverage and read offenses before using his top-tier closing speed to make a play on the ball. He displays sharp instincts and eyes that react quickly to the QB, with a great first step when breaking on the ball. Chulu flashes great range with the ability to get depth in coverage as well as flow from sideline to sideline. Good length and size at 6’1″ and 195 pounds. Several programs have started keeping tabs on the Urbandale prospect, and it won’t be long before some offers start hitting the table.

Urbandale’s defense received a shot in the arm from Chulu. The sophomore delivered 48.5 tackles, 43 of which were of the solo variety, and an interception. He also returned kicks. All of that speaks to his athleticism and speed. That’s what stood out to me when I scouted him at Iowa City West last fall. As we can witness while watching his 10th-grade highlight video, Chulu has a lot in his bag. He can play box safety and stuff the run or line up in the slot. Chulu runs well sideline to sideline, owns a smooth back-peddle and flips his hips fluidly. He lists receiver as a secondary position on his Hudl page, and it’s easy to envision his skills working well there.
