The dominant Stillwater big man has gone wire to wire as the top-ranked offensive lineman and a top ten overall prospect in the state’s 2023 class. Sanders has played everywhere along the offensive line but he settled in at center over the last two seasons. As we’ve mentioned in the past, that move has made Sanders an even bigger prospect in our minds. We think that Sanders will have a very strong college career and could even go further.

It’s no secret that we’ve been very high on Sanders as an overall prospect for years now. Ever since he finished up his freshman season. And in the biggest game of his career, Sanders showed why he’s earned that praise all this time with a dominating performance up front. The Pioneers ran the ball 43 times for 319 yards and only threw it 13 times on the afternoon. They wanted Sanders to lead the way to a title and he did just that, responding to every challenge on Friday.

We’ve made no secret about our evaluation on Stillwater senior offensive lineman JaKobe Sanders JaKobe Sanders 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Stillwater | 2023 State OK . We’ve thrown out the three letters N, F and L when writing about him, which is rare for us considering at the end of the day these are still high school players. But Sanders has been an absolute rock for the Stillwater offensive line since his freshman season. He’s also played just about every position along the offensive line but has settled into the center position, where we think he will be an absolute star at the next level. Sanders dealt with some nagging injuries earlier this year but he’s still had a strong season and is looking to go out on a high note. He anchors an offensive line that opens things up for the Stillwater offense to be one of the best in the state.

A prospect who is going to go wire to wire as the state’s top offensive lineman prospect in the 2023 class is Stillwater center JaKobe Sanders JaKobe Sanders 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Stillwater | 2023 State OK . Since his breakout season as a freshman, Sanders has been on our radar and he’s played just about every position along the Stillwater offensive line. Last year, he was moved to center and that position has stuck and it fits his game and his size so well that his stock as a prospect went up dramatically in our eyes. While Sanders has dealt with injuries this year, he’s still making an impact for the Pioneers. When we look at Sanders and his potential, the sky is the limit. And we don’t make this statement lightly. But Sanders has NFL potential. He’s reminiscent of Creed Humphrey, who’s now with the Kansas City Chiefs.

He opened everything up for the Pioneer’s offense, creating space at will. He displays good size and strength, which contributes to his success. On top of that, he showed good awareness to know where the defenders were coming from and the moves that they were attempting to use. Currently, he is the #1 offensive linemen in the state and the #5 overall prospect in the state of Oklahoma.

In week two against Yukon, senior offensive lineman and OSU commit JaKobe Sanders JaKobe Sanders 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Stillwater | 2023 State OK went down with a lower leg injury. It didn’t look good but the injury isn’t season-ending, which is the good news. Sanders has missed the last two games but Barnard believes that Sanders will be available to go against Booker T Washington on Friday night. Sanders might not be 100 percent for a few weeks, but he will be able to return and lead the Pioneer offensive line. Sanders is the best offensive lineman recruit in the state and we’ve been very outspoken about how we think he projects at the next level. He’s fit in nicely at the center position and if that’s where he ends up playing at OSU, we think that he has NFL potential. And with him being just a high school senior, we don’t throw around those three letters loosely. But we believe he has that level of talent based on the last four years.
