Mission Viejo was relying on a lot of young receivers with their tight ends battling injuries, but Junker stepped up as the real No. 1 receiving threat that he is. He’s explosive off the ball and can flat out run by some very good defensive backs. Junker can catch anything remotely near him and is physical enough at the point of attack to win 50/50 balls.

Mission Viejo had a lot of injuries throughout the day with its elite tight end group, but Junker stepped up and was the biggest scoring threat for the Diablos. He can create separation with his route running and is physical at the point of attack. Junker has good body control and is a crisp route runner.

Junker caught 58 passes for 1147 yards with 14 touchdowns for Mission Viejo last season after transferring in from Santa Margarita. He earned All-County honors from the Orange County Register.
He also had offers from Miami of Ohio, New Mexico and Sacramento State among others. Junker is one of eight players from California in San Jose State’s 2027 recruiting class and is the lone receiver.
