In 2022, Elijah’s awesome play played a big role in the 13-win season for Lakota West. He plays as a DT. Against the run, he is quick off the ball and uses his great play strength and physical toughness as he sheds the block from the OG with ease. He uses his good athleticism in pursuit before making the tackle outside the tackle box. Against the pass, he uses his quality burst to overpower the OG and quickly enters the backfield. He does a great job chasing down the QB before he finishes up with a sack.

In 2022, Elijah helped the Lakota West Firebirds to a 13-win season, held opposing offenses to 10 points per game and advance to the 4th round of the playoffs. He plays as a DT. Against the pass, he uses his elite play strength to easily overpower the OG. He uses his solid closing speed in pursuit and finishes up with a sack. Against the run, he quickly penetrates the LOS with a great combination of speed and power. He shows great range while in pursuit of the RB before making the tackle behind the LOS for a TFL.

Against the run, he sheds the block from the OT with his very good play strength and use of hands. He shows very good instincts as he takes good angles in pursuit and plays sideline to sideline before making the tackle. Against the pass, he shows good burst off the ball and penetrates the LOS quickly as he beats the OT to the inside. He plays with a good motor in pursuit before finishing up with a sack.

In the first highlight here, Elijah uses his quickness to beat the blocker and then has the awareness to strip the ball out of the hand of the QB.

The Junior DL had a great game on Friday night as he had 2 sacks and helped Lakota West defeat Hamilton to improve to 6-0. He plays as a DE/DT. Against the pass, he is quick off the ball and beats the OL with his speed and/or power. He shows good closing speed in pursuit before finishing up with a sack. Against the run, he quickly penetrates the LOS, quickly locates the RB before exhibiting good range as he makes the tackle outside the tackle box behind the LOS for a TFL.
