is a starting linebacker for Lakota West. Fryer is very good against the run. More of a drag-down tackler who can wrap up defenders in space and flashes great pursuit and range. Fryer, a class of 2027 recruit, takes great angles to the ball. He is also a solid pass rusher who can pursue and chase the quarterback with a high motor. Keep an eye on his development.

Andrew played well as a Sophomore in 2024. His solid play helped the Lakota West Firebirds to an 11-win season where the held opposing offenses to 8.4 points per game and advanced to the 3rd round of the playoffs. He plays as a MLB. Against the run, he times the snap very well and exhibits very good play strength as he overpowers IOL before disengaging. He locates the RB and the tackle in his gap. Against the pass, he shows very good awareness in coverage and displays great athleticism in pursuit as he makes the tackle preventing a big gain.

Fryer is a solid linebacker who can move and run in space. He can drop back and defend in pass coverage, and he is a force to be reckoned with on special teams: he can shoot through gaps, block kicks and be very disruptive.

Andrew played very well as a Freshman in 2023 playing on the Freshman and Junior Varsity teams of the Lakota West Firebirds. He plays predominantly as an OLB. Against the pass, he quickly penetrates the LOS and shows very good play speed in pursuit. He finishes up by delivering a big hit to the QB forcing a fumble. Against the run, he shows very good football intelligence as he keys and diagnoses the play. He shows good range and instincts in pursuit as he takes good angles. He plays with good form before making the tackle near the LOS preventing a gain of significant yardage.
