Spring Mills has a plethora of skill players, which has limited varsity opportunities for 2027 WR Douglas Mayer Douglas Mayer 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR/DB Spring Mills | 2027 State WV , but he’s a name that colleges are going to want to know moving forward. What his role is as a junior for the Cardinals is to be determined, but he showed a lot of potential in his sophomore JV tape. Mayer has big play ability with quality length and athleticism that will allow him to develop into a future playmaker on the varsity squad. His speed jumps out on film at the JV level and makes it look like he’s playing at a different pace than everyone else on the field. Keeps tabs on Mayer moving forward as we wait for him to produce at the varsity level.
