Like his brother Devontae, Deontae is also going to Ohio State and had a great season in 2023. He plays as a LT. While run blocking, he fires out low and generates excellent movement at the point of attack with his elite drive and play strength. He shows excellent physical toughness as he finishes the block to the ground for a pancake. In pass pro, he plays with a good wide base and keeps his feet moving while bending at the knee. He uses his excellent length, play strength and use of hands as he wins with ease giving the QB more time to pass the ball.

Using the most of his his 6’7 frame, Deontae Armstrong Deontae Armstrong 6'7" | 255 lbs | OL St. Edward | 2024 State OH is one of the biggest risers from the start of last season. Getting a season at left tackle under his belt, Armstrong is combination of strength and finesse that make him a lockdown tackle that doesn’t let up. Not just relying on his size to do the talking, Armstrong can neutralize even the most athletic defenders. Earning plenting of praise and offers from the biggest programs in the country, Armstrong’s stock has plenty of room to grow in his final high school season.

This season, Deontae and his twin brother Devontae helped St. Edward win a 2nd straight Division I State Championship. He plays as a LT. When run blocking, he uses his very good play strength and hand use to drive the DE several yards off the ball as he creates a big hole for the RB. He plays until the whistle and finishes the block to the ground for a pancake. In pass pro, he wins battles with his hands inside and uses his quality play strength to anchor with ease as he helps maintain a clean pocket for the QB.
