St. Edward is trying to go for the 3-peat and this season are 14-1 and have averaged 32.7 points per game while giving up 10.8 points per game on defense. Springfield is 10-5 and have averaged 23.9 points per game while giving up 16.9 points per game on defense. There are several great players on both teams in this game many of whom will be playing for an FBS school at the college level. Here are 5 outstanding players to keep an eye on.
The future Ohio State Buckeye had a phenomenal season in 2023. He plays as a LG. In pass pro, he plays with a good, wide base and keeps his feet moving. He exhibits great reactive athleticism as he reads the defense and picks up EDGE twisting towards the inside. He exhibits very good play strength at the point of attack as he negates his man’s progress and keeps the QB clean. While run blocking, he is quick off the ball and executes a down block by exhibiting good physical toughness and explosiveness as he finishes the block to the ground for a pancake.
Like his brother Devontae, Deontae is also going to Ohio State and had a great season in 2023. He plays as a LT. While run blocking, he fires out low and generates excellent movement at the point of attack with his elite drive and play strength. He shows excellent physical toughness as he finishes the block to the ground for a pancake. In pass pro, he plays with a good wide base and keeps his feet moving while bending at the knee. He uses his excellent length, play strength and use of hands as he wins with ease giving the QB more time to pass the ball.
Cam had an excellent Senior season in 2023. He plays as a CB. Against the run, he quickly reads run/pass and shows good closing speed in pursuit. He plays with good leverage and delivers a nice form tackle near the LOS preventing a gain of significant yardage. Against the pass, he shows good awareness in zone as he patrols his zone while reading the QB. He reacts quickly to the ball being thrown and takes good angles in pursuit. He delivers a big hit shortly after the receiver catches the ball preventing a first down.
Jayvin Norman Jayvin Norman 5’8″ | 170 lbs | RB Springfield | 2024 State OH had a great season this year and is coming off a 3 TD performance against Moeller last week. He shows great vision as he quickly finds the open hole and exhibits excellent burst through the hole before accelerating to top speed. He exhibits very good contact balance as he keeps his feet moving on contact before finishing the run by falling forward for extra yardage. He is a reliable receiver as well as he lines up in the slot and is quick off the LOS. He uses his good play speed to get open down the seam and tracks the ball well in the air. He shows great hands as he makes the catch over the shoulder in the endzone as he scores a TD.

Quenta had a great Junior year in 2023. He plays as a SS. Against the run, he quickly keys and diagnoses the play. He plays with excellent range in pursuit playing sideline to sideline. He shows solid explosiveness as he makes the tackle preventing a gain of significant yardage. Against the pass, he does a good job of covering RB coming out of the backfield and effectively reads the QB. He locates the ball in the air and displays very good hands as he makes the interception. He exhibits good mental toughness as he elevates his play in the redzone.
