Chmura received offers from D1 programs such as Kent State, UMASS, Western Michigan, Air Force, Akron, Lehigh, Dartmouth, and Cornell before ultimately choosing Marshall. The 6’3, 290-pound DL is the leader inside the trenches for North Allegheny. Chmura has violent hands and a big motor in run pursuit that doesn’t relent. His physical demeanor is advantageous when shedding blockers or locking them out when analyzing the play. Cameron will be a problem that St. Joseph’s Prep will have to account for in the interior pass-rushing game. The matchup between Chmura and will be fun to watch in the championship!

Marshall has to be through the roof after landing a legitimate top-five capable defensive lineman. Whether we move him up to three again, or back out of the top ten, it doesn’t matter in the long run. North Allegheny is loaded, their defensive motor will be led by Chmura up front. A massive presence inside, you don’t see nearly 300 pounds of mass move this well. Out of everyone on this list, I like Chmura to be the most athletic when considering height/weight ratios. I wonder if Marshall has any plans to move Chmura to offensive line moving forward.

Chmura has violent hand usage, effortlessly disengaging blockers to reach the ball carrier with finesse. His explosive get-off provides him a consistent presence in the backfield, making life difficult for opposing offenses. Offensive linemen struggle to gain leverage against him due to his consistently low pad level. With his strength, Chmura excels in both disrupting passing plays and asserting dominance in the run game, effectively locking out offensive linemen. His textbook sideline-to-sideline effort and A1 motor remain evident, as he never gives up on a play, even when it appears to be out of his immediate vicinity. Cameron recently committed to the D1 FBS Marshall Thundering Herd.

I featured Chmura a few months ago in a piece aptly named “Top Western PA Blue-Chips,” and he’s still living up to that billing. The FBS prospect, Cameron, just received another scholarship today from the Marshall Thundering Herd. In the month of May, Cameron fielded Division 1 opportunities from Western Michigan, Air Force, Akron, Lehigh, Dartmouth, and Cornell.

Cameron leads the trenches for the Tigers & is a big reason for the undefeated record. Currently the big league DL has 2 FBS offers from UMASS & Kent State. Chmura is good using his hands in general but especially shedding blockers getting to the ball. He has a great get off that allows them to play in the backfield consistently. Cam wreaks havoc in the interior line rushing the QB. Cameron’s strength locking out OL allows him to be dominant in the run game. Chmura is relentless & his motor doesn’t stop when the play is away from him.
