Northern Allegheny has had an up-and-down season for a program as talented as they are. They lost 3 games including 67-0 to Pine-Richland. They lost to Pittsburgh Central Catholic 21-6. Now, after beating Norwin, they get a chance at revenge when they face PCC again. If they are going to chance to win this game, they will need

to play his best game of the season. He has the skills as a passer and runner to pull it off. His ability to pick a team apart in the pocket and run the ball makes him a dual-threat player who is hard to stop.
Great couple wins through the middle of the season. Big game tonight vs pine! We’re excited are excited to get to work!https://t.co/N1rIOgLrTX@wpialsportsnews @WPIAL_Insider @PA_TodaySports @ACruse15 @nafootball_tfl pic.twitter.com/JHAeWj98Rp

had a strong season for Northern Allegheny last year as a 1st year starting quarterback. He is a dynamic runner and a strong thrower of the football. His ability to run when the plays break down is special. Brinkley also has excellent mechanics and footwork in the pocket. The other thing that happens to quarterbacks is their ability to see the game better in the second season as a starter. I expect this from Brinkley this season.

had an outstanding starting season last year for North Allegheny. I am blown away by his film. You do not see many quarterbacks with his size (6’3″) that move like he does. He has a cannon arm and has good footwork and mechanics as a thrower of the football. He throws a good deep ball where he puts the perfect amount of touch on the ball. He is also a good athlete who moves well inside and outside of the pocket. Brinkley is a talented player who should only improve as a quarterback this season.

is one of the best players and quarterbacks in the WPIAL and the state. He is equally as good inside the pocket as he is outside the pocket. He is a dynamic runner who can score anytime he touches the ball. He can also make every throw. If North Allegheny is going to win the WPIAL in 6A it will be up to Brinkley to do it for them with his playmaking ability.

is having a good year for North Allegheny this season. He is a good athlete that does a nice job in the run game. He shows off his skills by making the right reads in the zone read the run game. He also is a good quarterback who moves well when he is throwing the ball on the run. He is good at designed sprint-out passing plays where he rolls out and sets his feet to throw the ball. In the pocket, he shows good mechanics and footwork. He is also an accurate passer. Brinkley has a chance to continue to grow and take his game to the next level.

Film Review: Brinkley has the tools to be an elite quarterback for North Allegheny. He has a good arm and excellent mechanics in the pocket. He has a good arm and knows when to put good touch on the ball as well. Brinkley could be moved up this list with a strong Sophomore year.
Off-Season Update: Brinkley has been busy attending Pittsburgh and Penn State’s camp. Brinkley going to compete at both camps was a good opportunity for him to showcase his talent.

STANDOUT TRAIT ON TAPE: All-around Athleticism, release
Looked like a man amongst boys at the JV level. Brinkley’s just another North Allegheny stud athlete waiting in the reins behind numerous talented upperclassmen. Brinkley’s first rep on tape showcases his athletic potential. Shows off range from his safety spot, tracks a 35-yard throw and reels it in with one-hand toward the sideline. A tone-setting rep. A tree of a safety that moves well, especially if gets the chance to open up his stride, many bad throws reeled in for interceptions. Can’t help but be excited watching Brinkley work behind center. Kick return reps at this level, as well as zone-read reps, show off what Brinkley might be capable of in terms of athleticism once me makes the move to varsity. I doubt NA will be having this young man return kicks, but it’s a great gauge of the type of athlete the program is working with. A release well beyond his years, replicatable too. Good base, long backward stride gets him away from trash near the LOS. A lot to like, a lot to unpack, sky is the limit moving forward. Brinkley should expect to see a move to “ATH” until we see who starts Week 0.
