St. Joseph’s Prep comes into the state championship with a 12-1 record, suffering their only defeat to national powerhouse IMG Academy. SJP is the defending state champions and went 5-0 in conference play this season. The Tigers come into the state championship at 13-1, suffering their only defeat to the storied Pittsburgh Central Catholic Vikings earlier this season. Similar to St. Joseph’s, North Allegheny possesses a bunch of Division I talent. This matchup has all the makings of a classic state championship game, and I can’t wait to check it out!
Tyree the Tasmanian Devil stands out on tape. He’s selfishly my absolute favorite recruit to watch. Tyree is a tough two-way player for North Allegheny. He brings brings NFL DNA to the field, thanks to his dad Tyson, who rocked the DL in the NFL. Now, why do I absolutely adore Alualu? First off, those NFL genes didn’t skip a beat with Tyree. His defensive game mirrors the rough and violent style that made his pops, Tyson, a force with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ty glides laterally, chasing down ball carriers, showcasing that killer athletic prowess. And when he blitzes, it’s not just about hurrying the QB; it’s a reckless abandonment that keeps offenses on their toes. Check out his sheer strength, forcefully separating RBs from the ball in bone-crushing hits. Ty’s not just a player; he’s a playmaker, causing turnovers and wreaking havoc with open-field tackles. Alualu has FBS offers from Oregon, Cincinnati, San Diego State, Toledo, James Madison and Miami, Oh to name a couple of the programs.
Highlights
When he lines up on the interior, opposing defenses face a real headache with Jack’s strength and low pad level. In tight spaces, he combines power and mobility to make things happen. Running his feet through contact with aggression is a consistent part of his play, and he brings a nasty demeanor, relishing in asserting physicality against opponents. In terms of pass protection, he demonstrates solid footwork and punch while consistently establishing proper hand placement on blocks. Executing zone and down blocks, he shows talent and maneuverability, sealing off running lanes with impressive fluidity through tight spaces. Displaying agility and quickness despite his bulk, Jack moves well on the field. He’s got the prototypical measurements for a D1 player, standing at a solid 290 pounds and a height of 6’3.
Lincoln Hoke
Lincoln Hoke
Hoke is a 2026 first-team all-conference player for North Allegheny. Lincoln is a two-way player who has experienced a bunch of production this year. He’s very physical for only being a sophomore. Hoke showcases a lot of strength mixed with violent hands that will only improve with time. He’s quick off the ball and consistently drives his feet upon contact, often pushing defenders back. Lincoln is a good puller on the O-line and sheds blocks quickly on the defensive line. Hoke versus SJP’s depth on the O & D lines will be primetime football.
Kushner has received offers from D1 FCS Davidson and also D2 opportunities from Mercyhurst, Wheeling, and Notre Dame College in the Mountain East conference. Logan’s greatest threat lies in executing play-action bootlegs and utilizing his improvisational skills. Logan’s mobility as a QB is showcased when he accurately throws while on the run. He knows when to throw with finesse and when to apply zip on the ball. He has a good football IQ and doesn’t lock on to any specific target. His mobility allows him to evade pressure when buying time to pass. Kushner will have to watch out for SJP’s fleet of effective pass rushers in the state championship.
Buggey presently has D1 offers from Marist, Lehigh, and also D2 Clarion. He’s an athlete that has a burst off of the line of scrimmage. He applies pressure on the QB, blitzing from linebacker depth or from the defensive end. He redirects quickly and plays sideline to sideline. Buggey’s low center of gravity gives him a lot of force when dealing with offensive linemen or blocking at the fullback position. Aidan has quick twitch and showcases athletic ability running the ball. Obviously, Buggey is a physical player that delivers big hits on defense.
Boyd has D1 offers from Howard, Robert Morris, Duquesne, and D2 offers from Notre Dame College and Ohio Dominican. Boyd has dynamic speed and playmaking ability. His burst, along with the capability to accelerate in and out of breaks, makes him the top deep threat for the Tigers. Boyd is a jitterbug that moves with top lateral quickness. He runs good routes and has good receiving hands. He has a lot of upside as a returner and special teams in general. Khiryn’s makeup speed, along with his ball skills, makes him a top-notch CB. He plays with a lot of intensity and confidence that enables him to affect the game on either side of the ball. It will be interesting to see Boyd versus SJP’s secondary.
Kyle is a tough two-way player for North Allegheny. He has good size for a linebacker and fullback at 6’1″, 207 pounds. He’s a physical player who is also a dangerous receiver out of the backfield. He displays a lot of agility running the football and pursuing ball carriers sideline to sideline from linebacker. He moves well laterally and is a good pass dropper in zone coverage. The 2025 athlete plays low, generating a big pop blocking at fullback and tackling at linebacker.

Evan Lyons
Evan Lyons
Lyon brings intensity to both offense and defense, embodying a football player capable of making a significant impact on the game. On the offensive side, he displays playmaking prowess through a variety of maneuvers, including reverses, jet sweeps, screens, and taking snaps as the wildcat quarterback. Lyon possesses reliable hands and leaves nothing behind on the field. Evan, a versatile athlete excelling in two sports, showcases determination and physical prowess. He demonstrates strong tackling skills in open spaces, aggressively navigating the alley. His high football IQ proves beneficial in reading and reacting to the game. Evan’s instincts and extensive reach make him effective on the backend when playing safety. He maintains the right tempo and consistently challenges passes in Man Free coverage.
Liam has contributed a lot more this season. He shows balance and strength when he gets a chance to run the football. Liam improved on speed and explosion this season from working out in the offseason. Flaherty has had production on both sides of ball and will look to lift NA past St. Joseph’s Prep today in the state championship. Liam showcases grit, toughness and mobility as an athlete on the field. I also expect Liam to contribute on special teams as well today.
