Bryce Davis Bryce Davis 6'4" | 240 lbs | EDGE Grimsley | 2025 State NC was unstoppable during the 4a State Championship game. The Duke commit tied a season high 4 sacks and that lead him into receiving the 4a West Defensive Player of the Game. Davis finished off his season with over 100 total tackles with 27 sacks!

The impressive EDGE rusher had the play of the game last week in my opinion when he flat ran through a Hough offensive lineman to get a sack on Hough’s final drive. That sack pushed Hough back 10 yards and forced them to use their final timeout, which ultimately forced them to throw a hail mary at the end of the game. Bryce is equally good at stopping the run, and he will command a lot of attention from Weddington’s offensive line for sure.

While this isn’t a recruiting award, it doesn’t hurt that Davis is a freak athlete and one of the best defensive line recruits in the country. He’s showing it on the field too. Davis has 17 sacks from his edge position, winning with speed, power, and pass-rushing moves. He’s added three pass deflections and a forced fumble this year while helping Grimsley to an undefeated record.

The top-rated edge rusher in the state, Davis is fianlly healthy after missing most of his junior season. The Duke commit has excellent bend around the outside and uses his size and length to give offensive tackles issues. He’s really showcasing the leaps he’s made since his sophomore year and Duke is getting a steal with a prospect who has both the athletic profile and football I.Q. to play early in college.
