Shoemake just continues to get better after breaking out last year. He’s big, smooth, and fast. I’ve had a few conversations with some coaches who know his work ethic and weight room prowess, and it was pretty much a unanimous opinion that he would continue to develop at an impressive rate. He has the size, speed, and vision to reach an elite level.

Shoemake came on strong down the stretch in 2025, and ran for 1,000 yards despite averaging fewer than 10 attempts per game for the 7A State Champions. He earns the top spot here in a close one partially because of his projected increase in touches. Grimsley wants to have a workhorse, and if Shoemake, with his power and vision, can provide that, he could push into the 1,500-yard range next season.
