Rogers transferred over from Dudley before last season to help Grimsley continue its defensive line dominance after the Whirlies lost a couple of key playmakers. The depth of Grimsley’s line allowed Rogers to rotate, keeping him fresh for the playoffs. In five playoff games, he racked up four of his eight sacks for the season, and he’s turned heads on the recruiting trail with his elite length and strength profile.

Rogers transferred from Dudley to Grimsley and briefly rec-classified to the 2026 class before moving back to 2027. He didn’t get off to the elite start as a junior that he did as a sophomore, but by the playoffs, he was firing on all cylinders. He’s long, able to engage and control offensive tackles, then rip around the edge. He may have the highest pass-rushing upside of any 2027 prospect.

Rogers isn’t new to us or to our database, but he’s technically new to our class of 2026 as he reclassified back to a senior and transferred to Grimsley. There, he should pick up where he left off after last year’s incredible 23-sack season at Dudley. He has elite length and bend around the edge, giving him a leg up on offensive linemen.

, recently switched high schools from Dudley to Grimsley for his upcoming junior season. That change has not slowed his recruiting down one bit, as Andrew has offers from several Top Power 4 schools, including Notre Dame, Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina, and North Carolina, just to name a few. I saw Andrew live in the playoffs last season, and he has an EXCELLENT get off at the line of scrimmage, and his speed rush is really tough to stop off the edge. He is built for modern college football as an athletic and rangy EDGE with top-notch length and hand usage. I only expect Andrew’s recruitment to grow exponentially, playing in the spotlight consistently for the Whirlies.

Rogers exploded onto the scene, both as a player and a recruit, after his sophomore season. That’ll happen when a guy puts up 23 sacks at 6’6″ after having none the year before. The crazy thing is that Rogers still hasn’t scratched the surface of his true potential and if he puts on another 15 pounds, he’s looking at status as a national recruit.

Rogers is a fast-rising prospect who moved from just inside the top 15 to seventh overall in this cycle. His incredible sophomore season (23 sacks) put him on the radar, but his steady work this spring keeps him rising. An offer list that has ballooned since January certainly confirms what we’ve already seen: He’s a lengthy pass-rusher with elite upside.
