He’s amassed 1,335 yds on 97 carries and scored 24 touchdowns. The 2023 prospect averages 13.9 yards per carry at RB. Bret’s a speedy, smooth athlete, that’s also capable of playing DB collegiately. The senior prospect has athletic ability mixed with stop-and-go speed. Fitzsimmons has been on FCS & D2 program’s radar primarily in recent months. 

Bret has been ultra-productive in 2022. The senior running back has already eclipsed 1000 yards & 20 touchdowns on the season. He’s a great athlete that will be a great special teams player on the next level. If the warriors pull out the victory it will be due to Fitzsimmons having a good game.

A clear candidate for a bump on our rankings. Bret Fitzsimmons Bret Fitzsimmons 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Central Valley | 2023 State PA has surpassed all outside expectations. 14 yards a carry, 19 touchdowns, over 1,000 rushing yards in just seven games, all while contributing at linebacker when needed. His balance through the trenches is exceptional, that’s before contact. The kid treats contact as if it’s non-existent, has great pad level between the tackles, and stays low but still can hit holes with quickness. Can be trusted to gain yards after contact, if not rip through 2-3 would-be tackles. Great eye discipline allows him to cut away from defenders. His lateral agility looks phenomenal too, I bet he’d test well because of it. I didn’t know the kid had this in him before the season, I do now. His stock is rising.

Bret is a sure open field tackler that plays with great grit & toughness. He does a great job zone dropping to the body of the WR before coming up to tackle in the flat. Fitzsimmons shows a knack for blitzing the QB off the edge. On offense he has good speed and elusiveness with the ball in hand. Bret plays with great effort & will definitely be able to contribute on special teams as well. 

I didn’t expect to see Bret Fitzsimmons Bret Fitzsimmons 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Central Valley | 2023 State PA the running back explode onto the scene like he has this Fall. I’ll be the first to admit it, not sure if any senior will jump higher up our rankings than Fitzsimmons will after the season ends. Looking back at his tapes, I am more fond of Fitzsimmons the linebacker than I am Fitzsimmons the running back. I may have to reconsider that notion after seeing what the young man has done through two weeks. Week Zero saw Fitzsimmons run for three touchdowns on seven attempts, Week One saw him score four more times on just ten carries. The stat lines have been incredible, 375+ all-purpose yards gained by the senior, along with 17 tackles and a multitude of TFLs to boot. I’m fully expecting the kid to dominate each week.

Another season with production that resembles his junior year and offers will come for Bret Fitzsimmons Bret Fitzsimmons 5'10" | 165 lbs | ATH Central Valley | 2023 State PA . 105 tackles, 4 sacks, and 12 TFLs go the stat line for the Warrior linebacker. You can add 12 scores on the ground to boot but FitzSimmons will make a lasting impact at linebacker so long as he continues to develop the way he has. His build isn’t anything to drool over yet he still produced as a junior in an already loaded defense. The young man is a sponge and is building momentum towards a special breakout senior year.
