Johnson’s been in contact with D2 schools so far on the recruiting front. The senior QB is poised and has good placement on his passes. He also does a good job standing tall in a pocket and stepping into his throws. Johnson displays good QB footwork with decent mechanics on RPO’s and play action plays. He’s a mobile QB that’s dangerous should he decide to scramble. 

Johnson is presently being recruited by various division 2 schools for QB. He is poised in the pocket and consistently makes the right reads. Johnson is good throwing off of play action, RPOs & on rollouts. He improvises well on broken plays attempting to create more throwing time. Antwon is also an accurate passer that has the ability to hit his WRs in stride on deep routes. The senior signal caller has ton of good game experience from Central Valley’s legacy of long playoff runs.

We spoke about Johnson’s production in a previous post you can find here. I am interested in breakind down what his potential ceiling could be. I’d expect a much more confident Johnson this Fall, who still has a plethora of weapons at his disposal even with the loss of Landon Alexander. Both Thompson and Jeter are talented enough to elevate any blemishes in the passing game, blemishes I expect to have been hashed out over the course of the offseason.
