1. Aliquippa (7-0)
Mid-Season Standout
Tiqwai Hayes Tiqwai Hayes 6’1″ | 200 lbs | RB Aliquippa | 2025 State PA has looked like a top-five prospect through six games. Many scouts like to speak on backs that have different gears. Hayes has different gears, what I think is more impressive is the time he can stay at his top gear. This ability to stay in full stride allows him to act as one of the better homerun-hitting threats in the state. He’s been hitting homers from anywhere on the field too. His vision outside of the tackles is elite. The kid has incredible pacing on outside zone runs, knowing when to stop or start to exploit any holes in the secondary. Aliquippa is a staple program in the state, they’ve proven it year after year. Hayes and company have helped solidify their spot at number one over a loaded team like Bishop McDevitt. By the way, the star RB is putting DB reps on tape, that’s not fair.
2. Bishop McDevitt (6-1)
Mid-Season Standout
We’ve heard about Stone Saunders Stone Saunders 6’2″ | 200 lbs | QB Bishop McDevitt | 2025 State PA and Rico Scott Rico Scott 6’0″ | 185 lbs | WR Bishop McDevitt | 2024 State PA for months. We’ve also covered the awesome rise Tyshawn Russell Tyshawn Russell 6’2″ | 185 lbs | ATH Bishop McDevitt | 2023 State PA has seen in recruitment, same goes for Jaire Rawlison Jaire Rawlison 5’10” | 180 lbs | DB Bishop McDevitt | 2024 State PA . Nevan Hopkins Nevan Hopkins 6’0″ | 175 lbs | DB Bishop McDevitt | 2024 State PA deserves some shine. A heat-seeker in run support, Hopkins’ play recognition from his safety spot is elite. He can finish his tackles too, he isn’t the biggest kid, yet the momentum and drive builds up downhill, leading to many tackles that stop ball carries in their tracks. In pass coverage, Hopkins can turn and run with guys from a slot corner alignment. He can be trusted to play Cover One/Three and act as a single-high safety. Many were skeptical of his high ranking because of lack of tape or injury. I think Hopkins has proven his rank to be accurate.
3. Jersey Shore (8-0)
Mid-Season Standout
Jersey Shore would not be in the favored position that they are currently in without the drastic development and improvement of Dyson Delaney Dyson Delaney 6’3″ | 285 lbs | OL Myrtle Beach Post Grad | 2025 State PA . I saw the rawness in his limited tape this off-season. This Fall is showing a better, more seasoned left guard, one that is finishing his blocks and revving his motor to the whistle. Delaney is the power of the Jersey Shore offensive line, a line that allows guys like Hadyn Packer Hadyn Packer 5’11” | 205 lbs | LB Jershey Shore | 2023 State PA or the Jordan brothers to make plays the way they do. Delaney still has room for growth, the young man is just now settling into his role. I’m expecting his rank to climb this offseason, yet I have a feeling the senior version of Delaney will be the best one yet.
Highlights
4. Central Valley (8-0)
Mid-Season Standout
A clear candidate for a bump on our rankings. Bret Fitzsimmons Bret Fitzsimmons 5’10” | 165 lbs | ATH Central Valley | 2023 State PA has surpassed all outside expectations. 14 yards a carry, 19 touchdowns, over 1,000 rushing yards in just seven games, all while contributing at linebacker when needed. His balance through the trenches is exceptional, that’s before contact. The kid treats contact as if it’s non-existent, has great pad level between the tackles, and stays low but still can hit holes with quickness. Can be trusted to gain yards after contact, if not rip through 2-3 would-be tackles. Great eye discipline allows him to cut away from defenders. His lateral agility looks phenomenal too, I bet he’d test well because of it. I didn’t know the kid had this in him before the season, I do now. His stock is rising.
5. McKeesport (8-0)
Mid-Season Standout
Nicholas Winowitch
Nicholas Winowitch
A new name representing McKeesport. Nicholas Winowitch is someone we ought to have on radar, maybe even the rankings. Diving into some of his recent tape, the 6’3, junior tackle prospect is tasked with opening things up for star athlete Bobbie Boyd. Boyd can attribute some of his success to the junior left tackle. Winowitch lands on the athletic side of the tackle spectrum. He will admittedly give up 10-115 pounds in weight in order to move the way he does. What’s exciting is, he more than likely hasn’t reached his height/weight threshold yet. Even if he stays at 6’3, he could easily make his 230-pound frame a 250-pound one that will help him sustain power rushers inside or out. McKeesport leans heavily on the run game, wider splits are asked of the offensive line, Winowitch has experience playing in space, as well as reaching the second level when run blocking. Interesting prospect. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for his name moving forward.
