Watching his highlights from this season, you see flashes of an absolute star. Playing that OLB position, he has the speed to track the ball down, as well as the strength to shimmy off of blocks to make plays. He does a phenomenal job of breaking down and making tackles in open space. His instincts are advanced which allows him to sniff things out quicker than a lot of LBs at this level. I have faith that he will keep developing and be a highly sought after prospect.

I’m sold on #24. I spent a ton of time watching Booker, and he impressed me quite a bit.
For starters, Booker is a very fluid athlete. Smooth, balanced backpedal, loose hips, and above-average explosiveity. I can only get a good evaluation of Booker’s athletic ability if he displayed great play speed- which he did. I was actually extremely impressed by what he did on special teams. On kick return, I watched Booker lay two massive blocks. Extremely high effort, physical player on special teams. Defensively, I liked Booker’s fluidity in zone coverage, and thought he tackled well. Plus, he’s just as competitive as the rest of Brother Rice’s best talent.
I really like Booker’s upside as an off-ball linebacker, DC, or S. He’ll earn a rankings boost during our next update.

has shown as a Varsity OLB/DB. Good upside at both positions. Namely, he’s physical, and has several hustle plays on tape. In the tape below, 0:42 is a true sideline-to-sideline play. Then, 0:58 shows some of his zone coverage abilities. Great job dropping back, then high-pointing the ball to break up the pass.
Generally great hustle. So many of these highlights wouldn’t exist without Booker playing through the whistle. I love the physicality, and I’m intrigued by his explosiveness. I know from last week that he’s a real competitive player as well. Whether it’s at DB or LB, I still expect Booker to develop into a Division 1 prospect.
