About Amir

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I focus on reading defenses, making smart pre-snap adjustments, and staying poised in the pocket. But I also have the mobility to extend plays and take off when needed. I try to be a leader on the field, making quick decisions and putting my team in the best position to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a competitive and disciplined mentality. I approach every game and practice with the mindset of getting better and helping my team win. I stay calm under pressure, and I’m always looking for ways to outthink the defense. No matter what, I keep a ‘next-play’ mentality, like if something goes wrong, I learn from it and move on to the next play.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of football, I stay involved in school and my community. I focus a lot on academics and always push myself to do well in the classroom. I am a consistent honor roll student and have tested into high honors college prep classes when I enter high school this fall.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Football has helped me develop leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. As a quarterback, I’ve learned to stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and bring my team together. I take responsibility on and off the field and always push myself to improve. I also try to give back through mentorship programs in school, and sports which has helped me grow as a leader and person.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is proving myself as a young quarterback. At 13, I know I have to work harder to gain respect from older players and coaches. I’ve had to put in extra time studying film, improving my mechanics, and showing that I can lead a team, even when facing bigger or more experienced competition. What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I want to compete at a high level on the field while also getting a top-tier education.
