It took two quarters of football in Jenks’ season opener for us to be sold on Kade Klein Kade Klein 6'0" | LB Jenks | 2028 State OK moving forward. Then we went ahead and looked at Klein’s entire body of work and it’s hard not to be impressed with a player who can be a swiss army knife for this Jenks defense. As a linebacker, Klein gets from point A to point B in a hurry and he is a ferocious tackler. But then you also see other moments of his game where he’s lined up more as a roving safety or nickel back and can make plenty of plays in pass coverage. Based on the film that we watched from his sophomore season, there doesn’t appear to be much that Klein can’t do on the defensive side of the ball. And looking at what Jenks has back on defense, the Trojans have the potential to be filthy on that side of the ball.

It took two quarters of football in the season opener to be sold that Jenks linebacker Kade Klein Kade Klein 6'0" | LB Jenks | 2028 State OK was going to be a name to know in the state’s 2028 class. Klein is debuting in this latest ranking update as the #2 linebacker and he’s firmly in the top 20 for overall prospects. Klein is an absolute monster on the defensive side of the ball and his motor is one that doesn’t seem to slow down. We got a chance to watch Jenks in person back in week zero in the first half of their game with Edmond Santa Fe and it seemed like Klein was consistently in the backfield. Jenks had a very young defensive unit coming into this season so it seemed obvious that they would have some players have breakout moments early on in the season. Klein was one of the very first on that list. Jenks linebackers have had a lot of success over the last five years and Klein could be the next guy up. He’s going to be a name to remember as a defensive wrecking ball.
