Expert Analysis
Cory Lemer | Prep Redzone Scout
Background: Banks is one of two RB’s stepping into the spotlight for the top team as they lose UNC Commit Crew Davis. Reeves and Banks have big shoes to fill as they look to replicate the production Davis accumulated.
Measurables: Banks has a smaller frame, but shows promise and has time and room to grow into his ideal body. He has solid weight, and should add more strength and muscle as he continues growing.
Evaluation: Banks shows good versatility, playing as both a RB, and a LB for the Gaels. He is a balanced runner, who utilizes leverage to avoid tackles. He is exceptional in space, and showcases an exceptional burst which allows him to reach his top speed quickly and can be a major speed threat for any team. I want to see him work on his footwork, to improve with cuts, and moving through gaps behind the LOS.

is a shifty RB that cuts on a dime with the ball in his hands. Banks wants to attack defenders in space with his feet and make them miss, which he did at a functional level. Banks demonstrates strong vision, allowing him to identify running lanes and capitalize on opportunities for explosive gains. With that said, he will hit holes with speed and acceleration for a large amount of yardage. Thereupon, Banks has great contact balance to stay on his feet after taking multiple shots through the second level.

Banks is one of my favorite Athletes in the 2028 class, and will be playing on varsity for the Gaels this season. Standing at 5’9″ 175-Pounds, he displays a solid build for a RB, and despite his height, he makes up for his frame on tape.
Banks played the 2025 season at LB, and RB, but I feel he is better at the RB position, and projects as a better prospect in that position. Banks is a hard physical runner, who attacks the ground with each rep. He displays great vision in the backfield, and slows the play down at the LOS, allowing him to find the hole on each play. He has good footwork, and uses his legs and feet to avoid contact, and evade defenders. While he is not the fastest player on the field, Banks shows solid speed, along with good acceleration, which allows him to break through to the second level.
Banks will likely be the second string back for the talented Iona Prep Squad in 2026, and should look to improve his footwork, along with his speed. Banks is a solid athlete, and easily an underrated back in a stacked 2028 class. Keep an eye on him moving forward.
